April 7, 201411 yr That performance was horrific. :( they're really need to practice miming, it's such a cop out but if you're gonna do it at least be good at it. Highly dissapointed but oh well. Like its been said their acoustic performances are always flawless IMO.
April 7, 201411 yr To echo what some other people have said, their This Morning performances are always horrible. The backing track was giving them problems before the performance even began...
April 7, 201411 yr Predicted first week sales for 'Not Giving Up'? I'd say 21 - 25, but could be their lowest overall seller, unless they have more promo lined up. Edited April 7, 201411 yr by joepassmore
April 7, 201411 yr 28,000 - 26,000 . 21,000 would put it at about #18 I think but considering it's still increasing, it won't happen. :)
April 7, 201411 yr ^ 21,000 equates to about #13 at the moment! I can see them doing less than 20,000?

April 7, 201411 yr That performance was terrible the only decent one was Rochelle and at times Vanessa . They really need to stop trying to dance or get a new choreographer as well .

April 7, 201411 yr They should get Beth Honan for the tour but Aaron will stay because he won't be as hard on them to put the effort in I guess.
April 7, 201411 yr I didn't actually notice Frankie was miming (although I guessed from previous performances) but Mollie's was so obvious! Not only was the miming totally out of time but the track sounded way too processed for her bit. I don't think it was a dreadful performance though, on the whole, I think it sold the song pretty well. Good dancing, bright staging, good outfits, mostly well sung (even if some was mimed). Don't think it was too bad at all!

They should've re-created the video with the light tubes but that probably would've been too expensive.

April 7, 201411 yr The performance was a bit of a hot mess, it was hot....but still a mess. It annoys me how they have Mollie/Frankie lip-syncing all the time, and terrible backing track that drowns out the others (especially Una). I wish they had of just let them all sing, if they sounded bad they sounded bad, I can't really see it being any worse than what they are doing now (it was the exact same with the majority of What About Us performances). In all honesty, I think this half lip sync/half backing track is a big factor in them appearing lazy in live performances - it just sounds very bland.
April 7, 201411 yr So, I just watched the performance without reading the feedback first. Here's mine #uninfluenced : That effect on their voices made them so pitchy and almost flat. I swear they would sound better off without them. Like always, it wasn't dreadful to hear, but it was just painfully average and it annoys me so much that they settle for such basicness. Will Mollie ever sing live again? Fair enough, her pre-recorded vocals was pretty much the best vocal in the performance, but no surprise here when you're the only one miming. She looked good, though. But the routine was surprisingly good and they also look good while doing it. Synchronized, I might say? I loved the little turn your face moment at the end.
April 7, 201411 yr I find it funny that Mollie Mimes when the others sing. Like who else does that haha The performance was ok - obvs not their best, but This Morning tends to alwasy be hit and miss especially with the vocal feedback. The backing tracks are too loud and on this occaison is went funny at the start!

Hell, she was even one of the most consistent vocalist in the group for a while.
April 7, 201411 yr I don't get why they always mime. I mean their performances where all sing live are amongst their best and they all sing live at the tour too right?
April 7, 201411 yr I don't get why they always mime. I mean their performances where all sing live are amongst their best and they all sing live at the tour too right? Yes, but the sound is better on tour than in a little studio. Also, they spend a lot more time on their vocals for a thing like a tour than a performance on This Morning which they probably had to wake up at 4am for. They had a few backing tracks for the tour, mainly just for the choruses though and it really wasn't that loud. It's also less obvious during gigs and festivals, so I can't wait for these.
