It may be the highest its climbed in a long while, but it's still doing bad.

6 pre-orders instead of 3.

What do you really expect when it's yet to be playlisted by any major radio station?

I agree a simple playlisting could change everything and there is plenty of time for them to recover pre-orders wise, but lots of songs are in the same boat airplay-wise and are doing a lot better. This has been played on The Box every hour for the past 2 days, I'm not expecting much, but the top 1,500 would be nice.

It's progressively getting more downloads day by day so it's still a good thing.

Exactly. A few days ago it wasn't in the Pop section then yesterday it went to like #1200 at a push and today it went even higher. It should continue to re-peak every day as airplay continues to improve.

You worded that so much better than me :kink:

I wish this had a shot at number 1! People's reactions to the song have been mainly positive.
I don't care about #1 as long as it's a hit. I don't want them to fade into obscurity or do a JLS and be completely irrelavant and have to split up.
It's ironic but I actually think at this point in time, 7 years in they are doing better than girls aloud, (They went on hiatus) and sugababes had several line up changes.

Sugababes had a platinum album 7 years in with Change :( They disintegrated the following year though

Well you never know. This could be the Sats saving grace.

yeah and Girls Aloud had like 20 dates at a sold out arena tour, double platinum album and a platinum single at this point.

491 The Saturdays Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits (Deluxe)

1068 The Saturdays What Are You Waiting For? - EP

1479 The Saturdays Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits

To be fair, it's rarer for girl groups to have success these days. The only successful girl band atm is Little Mix who will eventually suffer the same fate as the sats. Sugababes, girls aloud are long gone and the sats have still been able to sell albums and singles. Stooshe which were supposedly gonna give he sats a run for their money have failed awfully and you don't see any other girl band these days having mammoth hits
I just find it so bizzarre The Sats went from complete irrelevance and a big flop album to a massive #1 single and peak in popularity (six years into their career, which is so weird for a girlband) to a complete flop again.

I find it odd as well - if WAYWF were released to replace Gentleman, followed by Not Giving Up/Disco Love, I think there relevance would be much more out there. #JusticeForTheSats

Little Mix will continue going as long as their global fanbase expands at the rate it has done over the last year or so - something which The Saturdays were far too late to even attempt. The other problem is that because they have a larger following they achieve trends on Twitter etc which boosts their publicity. Realistically The Saturdays have very little publicity aside Rochelle boring everyone on This Morning. I think the only girl band aside Little Mix that could give The Saturdays a run for their money is Neon Jungle, considering they are much younger than Little Mix and certainly a lot more fresh in their image/music approach. Off topic slightly but back onto topic:

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about Neon Jungle. Their airplay support is already decreasing whereas The Saturdays were just increasing with every release (Their peaks improved each release until 'work')

I agree on the sats comment but NJ were playlisted (C list, but still) two weeks ago I think and were B listed the last time I checked. This is four weeks to go and currently no radio playlisting's so we'll see I guess.
I haven't seen the Standard GH enter iTunes yet :(
