The Greatest Hits is full of stellar songs that people know.

I know but it's not like the general public to take an interest in which *album* the song is from. If they like a Saturdays song then they'll usually just pre-order the single (Disco Love and Not Giving Up) and not give a flying f*** about the album (as shown by Living For The Weekend having absolutely no boost on iTunes when the latter was released). Plus their last album had four singles on it (including a big #1) when it was released and nobody bought it.

I guess what's happening is that casual fans are going to iTunes to pre-order the single and noticing the Greatest Hits is there and just ordering that instead of the single, but even then, that sounds kinda bizzarre in Saturdays land. Buying an ALBUM from The Saturdays??

The album didn't get a boost because the single (NGU) had no exposure, airplay or much really and barely anyone outside their fanbase knew about the single.

Neon Jungle have reduced 'Louder' to 59p. I wouldn't actually mind if they did that to 'What Are You Waiting For' - if it gets higher on iTunes it will be noticed more. 'Louder' has climbed from #380 to #190 today.

I'm surprised that Rizzle Kicks got playlisted over The Saturdays though.

I really don't think 59p is a good idea. It would just make them look bad I think. It's okay for a 5th single, but not a 1st.

Really pleased with how amazingly well the album is holding up, and combined, the single probably is scraping the top 1,500 at this moment.

Bad to who though? Years down the line no ones going to remember that it was 59p except the hardcore fans.

Well it looks like something is affecting the EP. Atleast that's something.

It's actually higher than Ella Henderson's album pre-order, which may not be out for a while, but has had masses more exposure.

Capital better *properly* playlist WAYWF today, the single version will safely be in the top 1,500 for next week, then.

WAYWF has probably already had more downloads on the iTunes singles than NGU had at this point :kink: I think that it's gonna do okay once promo starts.

I CAN'T BELIEVE AN ALBUM BY THE SATURDAYS IS DOING WELL.

(I know it's only pre-orders but still)

And it's been doing better than Neon Jungle since it went up for release. Tell me why R1 have their loyalties I'm the wrong place again?

Why is the album climbing so much :o

I think it's generally good value for money and full of great pop hits. When it gets promoted on iTunes or TV, it'll do brilliantly I think. I pray they do a TV advert, because that will get some SALES. If Adele doesn't release beforehand and Richard and Adam aren't a threat, this is going to number 1 :D

I always thought this would be a good lazy-buy for very casual fans.

I think The Saturdays next step (if they manage) should be to put out some new singles and just bung them on an EP or extended play!

non fans have no idea about what the B-Sides are so they are getting 22 new tracks (including the GH new tracks) and all the singles for £10.99! would be very appealing to me if i didn't already have them all :P

One reason could be that the potential audience is responding to this. People who have previously purchased a Saturdays song or follow them on social networks are getting on board now for this.

I mean, apart from Facebook, Twitter and music channels they are barely promoting anywhere else.

On an unrelated note, the new Rizzle kicks video was released 18 hours ago and is on a pitiful 10k views. But obviously they're men, they deserve to be on the playlist.

They need to reduce the single version to 59p ASAP.
