'You & Me' and 'I See Fire' back in the top 50 :D

Aloe Blacc's solo 'Wake Me Up' entering at #69 to become the fourth version of 'Wake Me Up' to make the top 75/100 after the original by Spark Productions, the Avicii version and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers cover.

Jermain Jackman only scraping a top 75 single after winning The Voice, ouch! Sally Barker finishing a lot closer to the top 40 than I expected but still not a single top 40 hit from this year's crop despite the improved ratings. The show has been renewed again though somehow.

Kinda surprised to see John Newman even making the top 100 but The Saturdays comfortably winning round 4 of Newman vs. Sats (19-91), making it 2-2 between them :o Will the battle continue?

Josh Gad entering at #93 with 'In Summer' to provide a 6th top 100 hit from 'Frozen' as once again all of the others bar Demi's 'Let It Go' reach new peaks.

~

It seems the 40th anniversary edition of ABBA's 'Gold - Greatest Hits' has charted separately, as a double album of 'Gold' and 'More Gold' (despite the fact it contains an additional disc that is not on either of those). The original is at #57, two places above the new version / 'double album'.

Not surprised about The Sats at #19 , they definitely are no Girls Aloud or Sugababes. Its their 17th top 40 single , 16 top 20 single.

"Get Lucky" is out of the Top 100 for the first time. If it stayed one more week, it would be inside the Top 100 for a whole year..

However, "Let Her Go" has managed to spend a whole year inside the Top 100..

Arctic Monkeys with "Do I Wanna Know" is out from Top 100. It had a great chart run for a rock song.

Celine Dion with "Loved Me Back To Life" is finally out..She should promote her album in U.k. It proved that it had better total sales in U.k than U.s.a.."Water and Flame" was quite bad single choice for her..It didn't help the total sales..

Cannot fathom how 'Crying For No Reason' managed to climb from last week, considering its top version on iTunes was in the #65-#70 region for most of the week. Didn't think the other versions (one at around #110, one in the 600s and another outside the top 1200) would result in a near-top 40 placing, but I'm not complaining :D. Ended up only 10 places away from 'Ready For Your Love' despite there being a ~30 place iTunes gap between their main versions. It'll likely still be overtaken by Gorgon City and thereby finish last in the Katy.i.am City / Gorgon.i.am B / will City B / will B City (?) overall sales battle though :(.

I love the fact that 'Love In The Future' entered at #28 in August, left the top 75 a fortnight later and stayed in obscurity for months before being resurrected by 'All Of Me' to an eventual top 3 placing. Like 'Native', it gives hope to all of those album campaigns that appear to be complete write-offs initially due to mega floppage (provided they contain a potentially mass-appealing radio smash of course :magic:).

Funny seeing 'AM' and 'Bad Blood' side by side once again. They seem to be almost joined at the hip these days as they're never more than a few places apart in the US and Canadian charts either. I wonder which will end up the bigger seller in the long run. Currently there's only 2,000 copies in the difference.

'Sunny Side Up' at #46 and '+' at #55 :o. The follow-ups to these two will surely be leading the YTD album chart over the coming several months, or at least until Adele gets sick of the recording process and gives her patient label the go-ahead. I'd love to see '+' piggy-backing its way over the two million mark.

Similarly, it's good to see 'Born To Die' still kicking around the top 100 and I hope the release of 'Ultraviolence' helps push it over one million sales :D.

Ouch! Win 'The Voice' and a week later have a #75 smash!

I really do wonder who gets anything out of that programme...*looks at no.1 in album chart* - oh, I see...

The steadiness of both Gary Barlow's single and album is impressive to date.

Kodaline manage only one week on the long running albums list. Had to go forward a couple of months to find the next addition to the list!

AWOLNATION would have been #10 on the long running singles this week if they hadn't dropped out. Good that they did though as it means our queen and ruler makes an appearance :cheer: (Probably her only ever appearance on these lists :()

Not forgetting James Blunt :o, that's quite some longevity he's still having.
