The video is more reminiscent of a short film, which happens to have a music video in it at the end, rather than a long music video. It recounts Gaga's story from her days prior to The Fame. With hospitals, mint clothing/hair, ballet scenes and nakedness, there is certainly a lot to get your teeth stuck into with this one. Perhaps the actual music video section is a little disappointing compared to the rest of the video and it doesn't really pick up pace until the middle 8. However, that's because there is so much featured before hand. Unsurprisingly, it has low views on YouTube. Such is the peril of long videos, it's hard to get casual viewers to sit through 13-14 minutes when she wasn't exactly at her most popular. P.S. April 22, 201411 yr Incredible top 5 and not too many qualms about the placements outside of the top 5 either. I'd go Telephone > Bad Romance > Judas > Paparazzi > Poker Face as my order but really any winner apart from 'Poker Face' will be welcomed.

The video is a visual feast, with plenty of flesh showing too! Gaga also looking out for all her gay male and straight female monsters with plenty of hot guys stripping off too! :wub: It's not quite as creative as the four videos that finish above it, so I'm glad it's the first to fall out in the top 5 countdown. Racking up 12 10s and 1 11, the second video of the "Born This Way" era was met with much controversy before it was even released! Firstly because of its overly religious symbolism, and also because there were rumours of the video being released on Easter Weekend! :o However, Gaga decided not to upset the militant Catholics and released it a little later (more likely she hadn't finished editing it in time). This video is a visual feast, and Gaga looks simply STUNNING in some of the scenes. Especially in the close up slots of her singing. Proving she really can be one incredibly beautiful lady behind all the theatrics and colourful outfits. Also NORMAN REEDUS! April 24, 201411 yr So much love for this video. The colour, story, choreography, costumes & EVERYTHING just scream lavish and excess in all the right ways. If every Gaga video was as simple, yet daring as this i'd be very happy. Would be #1 for any other artist, but WHAT a top 3 still to come :drama:

The concept, the execution, the styling and of course the song are just all amazing! After he boyfriend/lover pushes her off the balcony, its her mission to poison him on her return from hospital. At the end, Gaga proudly exclaims "I just killed my boyfriend" while on the phone reporting her act to 911 emergency. Did you know there's also a director's cut version which leaked and featured a bonus scene with Gaga on a purple spotted horse? Personally, I prefer the wackiness of the director's cut, but I can see why the cut some of the scenes. They are perhaps too disturbing for a mainstream audience. . Well done to "Paparazzi" on bagging a top 3 placing. There's some very stiff competition in the top 5, so it has done very well. Stay tuned to find out where its sequel - "Telephone" has landed! April 26, 201411 yr The director's cut video is great! I think I actually prefer the edited version, probably because I'm used to it more, but I liked the ideas in the other version. It's a shame we couldn't have had a 'Paparazzi'/'Telephone' 1-2, but I kind of expected this and with 'Paparazzi' losing out to 'Telephone' out of the two.

It's not surprising to see this mini-movie all the way up in second place. Everything about this video is AMAZING! The storyline, which sees Gaga being bailed out of prison by Bey and then carrying out their plan to murder Bey's boo and the rest of the restaurant. The video ends with the girls fleeing for their lives and "TO BE CONTINUED..." But just when are we going to get the third instalment Gaga? You said it would be on this album...but NOTHING! I still think "Gypsy" would make a good follow-up video. The song certainly fits with the running storyline of the "Paparazzi" and "Telephone" videos. Perhaps the most amazing thing about the video is the cheesy yet amazingly quotable dialogue between Gaga and Bey. "Once you kill a cow, you gotta make a burger"..."But you can still see the crack in the motherf***er's reflection"..."I knew you'd steal all my honey, you selfish motherf***er", just to name a few. Clearly it's loved by the general public too, with the video almost at 200 million views. I'm fairly sure it'll hit the mark in the upcoming months.
