Posted April 28, 201411 yr So not just looking at individual songs or even the albums, but the era as a whole, which has grabbed you the most? Consider everything that went into making the era so the music, the fashion, the art, the performances, the interviews, tours, merchandise, basically EVERYTHING that went into that period.
April 28, 201411 yr Author I've gone for the 'Fame' era, but only just. It had everything i needed to fan out, the music was incredible, the performances were life-changing, but most of all she was just incredibly Gaga and a breath of fresh air. The outfits and everything had me so engrossed and looking back it was the most fun i've had following her. The 'Monster' era is a very, very close second for similar reasons, and it had the killer music videos and tour to go with. The 'Born This Way' era i loved more than most too, mainly because it's when i completely attacked social media and followed every little thing she did and said and really felt part of her community, all coming together with The Monster Pit at the tour. This era hasn't really had anything to grab me. Some lack-luster performances, awful fashion, music that i'm not as behind and just a mess.
April 28, 201411 yr Everything was pretty much on point with The Fame era and I miss it sometimes, I think she peaked with the Monster era (imagerywise) around Bad Romance/Telephone but you could tell she was starting to take herself too seriously with the Alejandro video.
June 1, 201411 yr I'd gone for Monster era I just loved the classics Bad Romance and Telephone and plus it included Dance In The Dark which should have been released, but Alejandro was great as well. The Fame era was also great Just Dance, Pokerface, Pararazzi & Lovegame are the perfect single run ever. Born This Way was great with the first 3 singles but was cocked up with You And I (which I can't stand) should have gone for Goverment Hooker instead and Artpop was just botched when she released that god awful GUY as a single. June 4, 201411 yr The Fame, as a whole was perfect. I have not one complaint. Though, The Fame Monster, is quite perfect as well. The Alejandro video marked the end of her perfect pop star streak, for me.
