Sry, 75/1 seems quite harsh doesn't it. I'm always a bit harsh once I get below the contenders though. I do think your song might qualify (probably has a better chance than a couple of the songs I put above it on that list) ~

And I'm not giving into other people's predictions of Syndare. Not until the final at least.

Disappointed with the odds this time round :( Especially as I thought MOWA would do quite well for us.

I actually like most of the songs predicted to do well this contest. A nice change. :D

Not so sure about that Syndare song, sure it'll do well but it doesn't feel like a winner to me. I think there are four contenders for the win, the main 2 being Rontvia and Fljotavik but Farc and Allecian potentially dark horsing it.

totalling up the averages and i'll be honest some of the placings so far r v unexpected. one song in particular i didnt expect to be as high as it is!

I think the winner is set in stone but I feel like for everything else, anything could happen!

no shade to rich but i hope RAMelia doesn't win. can see the appeal but its rly just some unremarkable trance strapped onto an unremarkable ballad to me??

But it's so emotional though Chris and with a back story as to why the track surfaced makes the song even more!

The thing that stops me from connecting with it is it's too short and doesn't give enough time for the different styles to merge and compliment other and it just feels like a trance breakdown was slapped right in the middle of a piano ballad. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't quite connect with it, soz Rich :( I don't think it'll win though, nothing from Semi 1 gave me winner vibes.

There's actually a 8 minute (!) version of the song dubbed the "Original Mix", with the song which Rich sent being the "Radio Mix" instead. I'm the complete opposite in that dance songs like these needs to be short and efficient to grab my attention. A song that is 5 minute+ long with unnecessary introduction which lasts a minute or two along with an outro which drags on forever just kills a track for me. :(

I do like a long dance song but 8 minutes is way too long which is why I prefer the radio mix of RAMelia. Of course there are special occasions where I do like 8 minute plus songs, Poppiholla, Born Slippy, Insomnia (Monster Mix), Adagio for Strings (Tiesto) are just some examples

The 8 minute version completely loses the impact and emotion as the ballad part is too short and feels rather lost in the mix.

 

Unremarkable though? :no: it's the most touching and meaningful song I've heard in a long time. Each to their own of course!
