May 11, 201411 yr They're definitely not popular here. I haven't seen any attempt by UKIP to promote here (except one billboard), but I can understand why since the demographics of the area I live are pretty much the polar opposite of the typical right-wing voter.
May 29, 201411 yr I live in a part of Salford which is historically Labour, but UKIP came a very comfortable second which I'm absolutely furious about!!! I too feel very disenchanted by the main parties so I voted for the green party, I didn't feel the need to vote for some neo-nazi far right party.
May 29, 201411 yr Well, using Portsmouth (home) and Brighton (uni), I think UKIP are relatively popular in Portsmouth (I think 6 council seats - correct me if I'm wrong) and I've heard some people talking about Nigel Farage possibly standing as an MP for Portsmouth South next year, wich I can't decide is a terrible thing or an excellent chance for some negative campaigning. If UKIP are ever popular in Brighton though, that'll be the point of no return for this country!
May 29, 201411 yr Living in different constituencies of London for both home and Uni means thankfully they are not popular at all in either (Kingston/Waltham Forest), don't think I've seen anyone around here that supports them, even my normally quite right wing friend voted for the Lib Dems in the Europeans! May 30, 201411 yr I hear in some parts of Cornwall quite close to where I live at home that there are a multitude of UKIP signs, along with people who'll spray paint 'racists' on them. I'm surprised the UAF rent-a-mob are active in Cornwall. They haven't been swiftly dealt with at all, they're still running as candidates! But if they keep their mouths shut, there's no way UKIP can out them as ex-BNP or NF infiltrators. I guess the propaganda has worked on some, after all...
