May 16, 201412 yr kylie's album picking up a few more sales this week. Hopefully may get another week in top 40 soon!!!!!! Evidence of this?
May 16, 201412 yr Yes, because a cynical record label cash-in on a deceased person's legacy is so much more preferable... I personally don't understand this thinking. When an artist of Michael Jackson's status dies they KNOW that there will be posthumous releases. They KNOW unreleased material will be released. Jackson made arrangements for his estate to be run by two people he knew and trusted to do a good job - John Branca (highly successful entertainment lawyer) and John McClain (successful music producer). He deliberately chose for none of his family to be involved in his business affairs, which says a lot. Those two guys were hand-selected to do the job they're doing now with Jackson's blessing. In general they've been excellent. If anybody thinks Jackson wouldn't be happy with once again having a worldwide smash album and hit single then they're delusional. After all big sales was his thing. Edited May 16, 201412 yr by bobmoo79

May 16, 201412 yr Ugh, I hope Common Linnets can hang on but loads of random huge midweek releases keep popping out of nowhere! It's not going to clear 25k anyway so it would be very lucky to make it in on a low sales threshold if it does manage. I don't think its chances are zero though, it will finish at 10 or 11 depending on how quickly Iggy/5SOS/Ed catch up. I don't see 5SOS or Ed catching it at all, 5SOS are now outside the top 10 on iTunes already and based on Kworb 'One' will have actually sold less then 'Good Girls' despite having longer to build up pre-order sales (I would imagine more people were buying 'Good Girls' as a track while 'One' was selling almost entirely from the pre-orders). There was a pretty large sales gap between it and #11 earlier in the week so I'd still expect it to remain top 10. I hope the LNFSG single makes top 10 in the Sunday chart - it's a fantastic song and the new video featuring Timbelake will hopefully boost sales. I actually expected the song to peak in week 2 and then drop so to jump 14 or 15 places is great. Not to detract anything from its success but this third week jump is a bit artificial, this week all versions of it count towards the chart whereas at least one of the versions had to be excluded last week due to there being more than one instant grat version. It should really have been a fair bit higher last week (quite possibly top 10). Although I think even if it was it would probably still have climbed / increased sales this week anyway due to the album release and music video premiere etc.

May 16, 201412 yr Well She was top 200 on itunes and top 400 with the 2nd version KMO is now 54th on Amazon MP3 rather than 594th at start of week and both CD versions are top 200. so hopefully HMV selling a few in store too...... plus Alan Carr promo should give it a push tonight and Saturday. Hopefully it will climb a few places from last weeks 80+ chart. but i maybe wrong
May 16, 201412 yr Anyway, so much for Tori staying top 10 oops. I can only assume 'El Camino' was reduced again
May 16, 201412 yr Anyway, so much for Tori staying top 10 oops. I can only assume 'El Camino' was reduced again  So annoyed about this, having seen the figures yesterday she had a great chance of finishing #10 at the end of the week, f***ing 99p give away albums.

May 16, 201412 yr Yes the 99p albums should not be allowed. didn't anything below 2.99 used to be included in the chart?
May 16, 201412 yr Yes the 99p albums should not be allowed. didn't anything below 2.99 used to be included in the chart? Unless Kiss Me Once was to be part of this offer..? :D The limit of price reduction only applies to physical copies I think.
May 16, 201412 yr It is stupid, Adele could put her next album online for 99p and probably open with a million + sales.
May 16, 201412 yr Yes the 99p albums should not be allowed. didn't anything below 2.99 used to be included in the chart? No, that's the retailer price, not the sales price. It has been already discussed last week or the week before ;)
May 16, 201412 yr Author Do you know how far ahead Paloma is at #5 in the singles? oooh - 95 copies exactly
May 16, 201412 yr The sales suggest that The Common Linnets will be overtaken by MJ but it's likely that nothing else will catch up so 9/10 looks realistic. Emmelie DeForest has hung on well enough to almost guarantee herself a second top 75 hit, the first Eurovision winner to chart again after their win since Johnny Logan *.* (seeing as Celine's Eurovision winner didn't chart here).
May 16, 201412 yr Author And I have asked for a special request for Kylie fans, her single #52 and her album #77 just for SmileyKylie :P now you can stop asking...
