September 19, 201410 yr I just read a piece about how Derrick might not even win because the jury won't really know it was Derrick who masterminded practically everyone's evictions until they see it on TV for themselves! Actually a good point. And if Victoria makes a good speech in the final two when talking to the jury then she still might have a chance. Of course that is if Derrick wins the final HoH, which I hope will happen. Surprisingly, Victoria has a better chance at winning with Derrick than with Cody. The latter played a better social game than Le Vic and social game is the only point in the arguement she could use
September 19, 201410 yr When they showed the jury clip though, a few of them were saying how they'd now realised how Derrick was being a good gameplayer.
September 19, 201410 yr I think everyone's feeling on why Derrick was seen as the mastermind of this season has a lot to do with his Diary Room sessions, he portrayed strong views to the public in his Diary Rooms, but in all actuality, if you take a look at how the evictions panned out.. they're really just common sense? Jacosta's Eviction: Evicting Jacosta over Zach seems like a common sense move to me. You still had Hayden, Nicole, Victoria and Donny who weren't really under the thumb so to speak. Seems like common sense to have her go over Zach, because Zach is in your immediate alliance. Hayden's Eviction: This kind of filters down from Jacota's eviction, you still have 3 or 4 people not in your immediate alliance. This was just a smart move. Nicole's First Eviction: Again, same thing. Zach's Eviction: Caleb was the one that brought this to the table, and Frankie executed. Donny's Eviction: It was clear Cody wanted Donny gone. Derrick had the votes but basically rolled over and let Cody have his way. Nicole's Eviction: Common sense. Christine's Eviction: Perhaps he can have credit for that one, he did execute this. Frankie's Eviction: Common sense, dude just won the last 3 competitions in a row. Did he "Mastermind" much? No, not really. Was he the ringleader of his alliance? Yeah, he was. I don't see any of what happened above really HARD decisions where he needed to work hard to influence the group. I think we were lead to believe he had strong opinions of the game because of his Diary Room sessions, wherein all actuality he just played a smart, strategic and social game. He kept his alliance in check. Clearly anybody's going to win against Victoria.. and I think he will beat Cody as well, did Derrick play a better game than Cody? Yeah, but maybe not by much. I also think he's going to get some votes either way because Cody's a what? Mid-20s guy, where Derrick has a family.
September 19, 201410 yr Maybe he didn't really mastermind the entire thing per se but he definitely did steer people into directions he wanted sometimes. It's very hard to even hint at things in the house and still fly under the radar. Due to him being in an alliance, most of the house's targets were also the targets of his, plus louder and more intimidating in terms of BB gameplaying people like Frankie and Caleb held all the attention on themselves throughout the entire time. Those common sense based eviction decisions might be obvious to you but look at all of the people inside the house who made terrible decisions. Especially at the beginning. Having common sense isn't everyone's trait. I think he did influence people's decisions that ultimately suited his game. Because he kept his alliance going and in check, it directly helped his own game. This alliance was the key point for him really. Masterminding just wasn't NEEDED most of the time.
September 20, 201410 yr Yeah, pretty weak season for gameplay, didn't take much effort to make it far. In other news. David Girton (evicted week one last year) has gone ape shit and has uploaded a whole bunch of nude pics and jerk off video on the web. It's not even a leak.. he's just.. uploading them himself. September 22, 201410 yr Apparently the bomb squad members made a pact that if Victoria is sitting in the finals then they'd all vote for her to win. Ha. I guess Derrick and Cody will take each other to the final, whoever wins the last round. CANNOT WAIT SO EXCITING
September 22, 201410 yr I'm not sure if I can see that happening, but would be hilarious if it did. They hold the majority vote too if either Derrick or Cody gets sent to Jury.. it would be 5-4.
September 25, 201410 yr No surprises there I guess but it was most definitely deserved! Excellent gameplay right from the beginning and a really nice guy too :D
September 25, 201410 yr Renewed for seasons 17 *and* 18 :cheer: Deserving winner. Would've liked to see Victoria in the final 2 but when she just about doubles Derrick's time in the competition.. Also how pointless did it feel bringing back the first five evicted houseguests to not even talk with them (as they usually do iirc)?
September 25, 201410 yr lol at Donny winning America's favourite houseguest. I guess America were impressed by somebody who was nothing but a wet blanket all summer?
September 25, 201410 yr No, they were impressed by someone who was good at the game and had a big heart :P
September 25, 201410 yr Both winners were obvious so meh. Derrick got SO much $ tho. 500k + mission money + that holla HoH money. Ahhhhhhhhh
September 26, 201410 yr oh my god let's discuss Jocasta's SASSINESS when the jury were discussing the Top 3 with Dr Phil or Will or whatever-ill! Why haven't we seen that side of her in the house?! *.*
September 26, 201410 yr My favorite part was when she said she wanted to vote for Victoria just for shits and giggles. YAS GIRL.
