I'm hoping they decide to release all three tracks from the greatest hits depending on the quality of the tracks in order for it to generate christmas sales. I don't think we can comment on the potential success from the song as we've not heard it.

All I do know is that there was much more hype before 'What About Us' premiered.

There's basically none at the moment. Even the fans don't seem excited by this Greatest Hits or even just the band in general.

They need to do something exciting or bold... or both.

Agreed but the release of three would depend on the success of one and two, for sure?

I completely disagree. Obviously not representative of all but some of the fans I have the misfortune of following on Twitter are quite excited about the tour (more so than the album). It would be unfair to say there isn't a hype within the fanbase because there is, but when two members take a one month holiday stateside it does make it harder to create a buzz for the general public! Until they shoot the video there really isn't alot they can do like announce the first single etc ^_^

they said on their interview with Sky News that they are recording one of their summer favourites for the B-side for the lead single :)

Another insider confirmed it was 'When Love Takes Over'.

The company that they're doing the firstchoice with confirmed that it was WLTO yesterday on twitter!

I'm kind of excited for the Greatest Hits in a way because we might see them perform some old favourites on TV again and it should sell more than Living For The Weekend () but at the same time it's only going to be three new tracks and I really don't want anything else by The Jam.
ideally I would have the three tracks by Ryan Tedder, Avicii and Calvin Harris but that's not going to happen

there was, without a doubt, a lot of hype when this was all announced. But with no major announcements or events happening, the hype pretty much fell on its face IMO

I think they can generate hype when they can be arsed to. They just need to be really strong with the campaign. I remember The Saturdays were trending most of the day when Greatest Hits was annouced, so they did manage to get people talking before running off on Holiday.

WLTO is an amazing track to cover I Think although I'm not sure how good it will be being covered by The Saturdays, especially since it is one of my favourite summer anthems

how are we sure the new single will be a "banger"? Missing You was filmed in a nice exotic place and it's not too uptempo ;)

in all honesty though i think it will be an uptempo number :D

I think they're confused over whether love or their heart takes over.

Well for me it is definitely hunger that takes over

Not Giving Up On Love tbh , they obviously have a problem with love.

NO. I want Tedder to continue working with Adele because I'd rather 25 gets released instead of some counting stars-esque song appearing on the GH's!

This. And the fact that those who have stayed in the UK i.e. Frankie, Rochelle and Una (the mothers of the group!) and are doing the occasional TV spot, does kinda help a little bit even if it is minor at the moment to build up to the bigger promo.

I reckon they just think that, if
this is
love then, they don't wanna be part of it.

(Ironic considering they got that disco love!)
