"and pre-order our new album Greatest Hits: Not Giving Up If This Is Disco Love".

:drama:

Neon Jungle's new single 'Louder' is set to be released on July 20th, which'll probably a week or 2 apart from the release of The Saturdays new single. I can't see Radio 1 supporting both to be honest, since they chose Welcome to the Jungle over Not Giving Up.

So in other words, it's looking pretty slim for radio support at this time?

You never know. Personally, I can't see them being played by Radio 1 ever again and it's unclear with Capital, who playlisted Not Giving Up but didn't play it.

On Radio 1's behalf, yes. I think this could be big on the music channels seeing as though the video is being shot abroad. It makes it look more expensive, like What About Us, rather than the three singles after WBU.

'What About Us' was actually rather huge on music channels in comparison to radio.

I remember during release week it was #26 (rolling) on radio before shooting up to around #07 by the end of the week.

The Neon Jungle single is supposedly a ballad! I don't know if they would get the same kind of radio support with a track like that. As much as I like them, they seem a bit Cover Drive to me. As in same sort of level of success.
Was What About Us not #1 on the TV airplay rolling chart too..................before being bumped down to #8?

Did anyone see the article about how Radio 1 pick their playlists?

I don't have faith they'll support The Sats with their next single.

Where is the article? :)

I would like to read this article!

With the lead single of their Greatest Hits, especially if they somehow manage to bring lots of interest within the internet field (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube) and with their gigs/festivals, then yes I think they can get into their playlist, although I feel like Radio 1 would give them half of their plays they are supposed to get (Disco Love was NEVER played 25 times a week when B-listed, Gentleman even less, like BYEEE).

That is if they actually manage to bring interest which unlike most people here I'm very doubtful of. They need more than one hour (sometimes even less) trend on Twitter and their usual promo plan (not talking TV, I'm talking about all of their work to build up hype, they are going to need to put so much more effort into that).

We'll see! Fingers crossed they get good airplay.

Social media interest in the girls is always freakishly low.

On YouTube their views (besides What About Us and Higher) are very low in comparison to other British artists, on Facebook they sometimes struggle to get even 1K "likes" with anything they post (unless it's a selfie) and they only have like 1.5 million fans which is less than other British artists who've been around for a short time and on Twitter I never really see much buzz for them.

I guess they're just too "old" now?

Not all British artists get a lot of youtube views. 2-3 million is probably the maximum that a British artist will get right away that are not huge in America or Worldwide. I don't think the girls post enough about the band, less selfies and more details. I remember the girls would post on their facebook 'Check out our friends ... single! Out now' which would gather some likes from other fans, but the don't do that anymore

You can tell the saturdays don't do a lot on their twitter as their followers are lower than some of their personal acounts

1.5 million is actually not bad, but most of the likes on facebook were probably from 2010-2011 when they were social media-ring like crazy. After a while, people won't care anymore and that's kinda what's happening.
