Hope you're right Lee :) if this could get playlisted on r1, it could actually challenge for the top 3. It doesn't deserve anything less than #5.

If 'What Are You Waiting For' misses the top 10 then maybe it would be best for The Saturdays' to do one final single and call it a day.

For most pop bands, top ten singles are part of the image and for The Saturdays to rack up 11/13 between 2008 - 2012 and then missing the top ten with Gentleman and Not Giving Up in 2013 and 2014 is a blow to their discography when they used to go top ten so easily. I wouldn't say they should call it a day AT ALL because I want as much music as possible from them.

Rochelle & Mollie are on holiday, not sure if the other girls are but I'm hoping this is because they're going to go full steam ahead over the next month to make this single & album a hit. Fingers crossed.

Also Vanessa posted that she was in the studio today.

Of course I want as much as possible from them but it's an absolute miracle that they're still managing to generate radio support.

My Heart Takes Over (Sold less than 60k)

30 Days (Sold less than 75k)

What About Us (400,000)

Gentlemen (Sold less than 60k)

Disco Love (Sold less than 130k)

Not Giving Up (Sold less than 40k)

It's really terrible minus 'What About Us'.

I'm pretty sure Disco Love will be on quite a bit more than 130k now, it was in the top 1000 for ages after it's last sales calculation and streaming has just been added - I'd say around 160k?. Still not amazing.

@TheBoxTV: "@JoePassmore: @TheBoxTV Hey guys. When is The Saturdays new single getting a slot on tv?" It'll be spinning tomorrow #FreshAndFutureHitsTop10

we should all tweet the music tv channels to show them the interest
I just hope this manages a top 10 placing at the least, it's better than half of their singles and doesn't deserve to flop (unlike gentlemen)
The Saturdays talk about '808' and 'Walking Through The Desert'

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

'808' is apparently 'What About Us' part 2 and if there's actually some swearing wow... It could definitely be a track to remember.

However, I'm most excited about 'Walking Through the Desert' which sounded LUSH on that instragram clip so I can't wait!

I've actually tweeted TheBox, ChartshowTV and Starz tv.

I have every confidence this can go top 10, but I really wouldn't count on Radio 1 getting on board.

Agreed. I'm 99% certain Radio 1 won't be playlisting The Saturdays again. At the end of the day, they playlisted 16 Saturdays singles over 5 years, which is amazing. It was obvious when Gentleman and Disco Love never made A-List that the end was near. My opinion is that they don't want to play more than 2 girlbands and Neon Jungle have taken their slot.

I think it'll probably scrape the top ten, too. But I want more, I wanted top five with at least a bit of longevity.

It's unclear now, but I really do hope Radio 1 playlist them. Little Mix and Neon Jungle's last two singles have stalled on the B list too, btw. You have to remember that R1 has played Disco Love every week for the past 8 months.

It's really strange isn't it? I guess time, and only time will tell.

Couldn't have said it better myself

I think the single will fair well without the need of Radio 1 anyways (although Radio 1 may have probably pushed it into the top 5/ top 3)

I also think it's fair to assume that Neon Jungle have taken their place as once they playlisted Welcome to the Jungle, NGU wasn't even touched

Even though it is early days for them, Neon Jungle haven't flopped too much in comparison to the recent ventures of The Saturdays so they are more likely to be playlisted because they're new etc.

Also completely agree with Shadow on the previous page!

MTV hits and MTV music both have "The Saturdays: Brand New Video" slots today. Only one each, but hopefully they'll add more tomorrow.

awesome :cheer:

also to add... while Radio 1 playlisting would be amazing and I do hope they get playlisted, it still doesn't guarantee success. You can have big hits without Radio 1 support. Also, sometimes when Radio 1 don't playlist a song, if it's doing well in the midweeks they'll playlist it that week, which can then give it a good second week

But they do need either Capital or R1 to play them at least moderately, otherwise the single will do nothing. I think R1 is actually their best bet at success, as once R1 playlists them, the more fickle stations like Kiss, Capital usually copy.
