Starting to really appreciate TIHWD as a single choice - it's really clicked with me. I hated it as a choice at first but after hearing it on the radio a few times I think it really works as something a bit fresh and different. It's much better than Birthday and Unconditionally. Hoping it could somehow out-peak those two.

The remix doesn't really add anything to be honest. Complete "who?" feature as well. This was their clever attempt to promote it at the VMAs though, dressed as Britney and Justin's attire at the 2001 AMAs.

Katy doesn't actually look awful in it, which is surprising! And Britney's original isn't so bad either.

It would make sense for her to pay homage to Britney, with the guy who did the remix for TIHWD, after me saying it's my favorite single by her in years.

Another incredibly monotonal song, they've been on the rage a bit lately.

This is a much stronger choice of single than birthday, this is how we do should have easily been selected ahead of birthday.
It's already #36 on iTunes, which is pretty decent. I wish she'd come to the UK and perform it somewhere!

Surprised at the climb today. Up to 33 from 41 this morning.

I hope you're right, add to that, a few of the tracks above her are instant grats/ineligible to chart tracks, and it does seem to have started picking up a bit of pace iTunes-wise. Maybe there is hope left in this single!

This is #30 on US iTunes (it went up one spot from #31 after I bought it, coincidence? I THINK NOT).

Yeah me too now. I wasn't keen on it as a single choice to begin with but she really can do no wrong. I have loved this era despiteonly having two huuuge hits. Birthday/Unconditionally are just as good. Dark Horse is still the best though :heart:

When is the official 'impact' week or release date for this? Is it this coming Sunday or the one after?

Well the remix is already out so I assume she's not announcing one, but just wants to have a single on the radio?
