Have your say! What song from ARTPOP should be released as a single next? Or not... When should Gaga attack us with Act II of ARTPOP or whatever it will be called.

 

I think "Gypsy" to close the era followed by Act II in around October/November.

I think ARTPOP should be left now, it's dead in the water and trying to flog more of it will only tarnish her reputation more. 'Gypsy' should have been the last single a lot sooner.

 

What she really needs to do is pull a pretty majestic and mindblowing single out of the bag next time she comes around, she really needs to get it right or she is finished. No doubt about it.

Guys I think a 4th single is coming. That tarot card reader on here has been right about 90% of the things he predicted:

-Public Appearances in February=Gaga attends multiple high profile events+Jimmy Fallon

-The third single would do quite horribly=G.U.Y. Peaks at #76 on the BB Hot 100

-There could be a few minor health complications in May=Gaga now has bronchitis

 

He/ She predicted that there would be a fourth single that is a good hit! I'm going with this for now

Gypsy please, and then a more subdued, acoustic era entitled 'Stefani'.

Any new album with the word artpop in the title would sound the death knell for Gaga as an A list pop girl. The entire concept of "artpop" was ridiculed and Gaga herself didn't seem to grasp that getting a fashion photographer to direct a music video, or putting a statue on stage while performing, is not marrying art and pop. Beyoncé did "artpop" a million times more effortlessly. Gaga's entire vision feels horribly passé these days and unfortunately I think she's so determined to see it through that she'll drive her own career into the ground.

 

Ideally, new album in Spring 2015, moving away from synthpop and employing new producers who are also songwriters, not DJs. No more White Shadow for instance. Sonically she needs to take a very big risk and do something completely bold and unexpected. No tapping into trap music a year after it's actually popular. A complete reinvention of image and sound.

She needs to reinvent radically, but releasing Gypsy in the meantime might help her with credibility.

 

I think what's next is the jazz album, which again could be a step in the right direction to get her INTO the pack, not left behind and with the C list singers.

Basically what that Jark said. I do think a 'Gypsy' release would be good though. It wouldn't be a success by any means but it's a personal song to her (and her fans), especially given it's a key part of the tour performance, so would make sense giving it a release. Then she should just wrap it up, forget act II and start afresh next year with a more natural sound or a big, bold and creative risk like Jark said.

 

I so want her to do well but at the same time i want her to do what she wants to as an artist, and i think it's very hard for the two to coexist right now unfortunately.

Gypsy and Sexxx Dreams are the only decent tracks left but neither of them would be hits, personally she should just move on to Act II and hopefully come up with some decent and better stuff, coz I loved her first 2 albums (TF/FM & BTW), but with this album only a handful I did like (Do What U Want, Appaulse, Gypsy & Sexxx Dreams) aside from those this album was pretty poor, and plus GUY became a major flop so releasing another single from this standard era would be a disaster.

Well we've been promised the Jazz Album with Tony Bennett for a long time. Current rumours suggest a September release, but who knows when we'll get it!

Gypsy deserves to be released even if it does terribly chartwise it's a fan favourite and Gaga clearly loves performing it. I don't want an ARTPOP ACT 2 I just want her to move on. I enjoyed the era but the Born This Way era was much more interesting to follow and I'd prefer for her to release something more dark. However I do love ARTPOP and it's going to be interesting to see how she progresses once the ARTPOP era is completely over!

I agree in that she needs something out October sorta' time but Gypsy is just a no!
