I can't believe The Saturdays have more babies on the way and Girls Aloud only have two.

Kimberley has been cast in West End's Elf

"24 October 2015 for a strictly limited 10-week season, ending on 2 January 2016, with a press night on Thursday 5 November"

:cheer:

I've never seen the film in full (yes, I know) but it's great that she's been cast in a(nother?) musical! I assume she's playing Zooey Deschanel's character from the film?

Also this deserves its own thread!

Neither have I. And I agree that it should have a thread to itself, this is our beloved Kimberley! Will be sure to take the chance to go and see it on the stage. :D

A thread should start for Elf once there's some promo pictures or more news about it??

Kimberley is Nickie in Sweet Charity!

"Kerry Ellis, Michael Xavier, Denise Van Outen & Kimberley Walsh star in Sweet Charity concert

The production will run at Cadogan Hall for six performances between Wednesday 19th and Saturday 22nd August 2015. The performers will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the Arts Ed Chorale."

Tickets are 50% off for opening night if booked before end of April according to the Cadogan Hall website.

I take it this means they'll be standing and singing instead of putting on a full-on musical production like the Les Mis 25th Anniversary Concert?

I can't

Good Lord. My sister used to have a doll called a Moon Dreamer (was possibly made by the same people as My Little Pony. 80's, American toy) and it looked exactly like Kimba's hair here.

Ah, here we go:

Kimberley first cut her musical theatre teeth in a regional production of Les Misérables and went to performing arts school. Then in 2002 she auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals, which lead to the formation of Girls Aloud with Nicola, Cheryl Tweedy (now Fernandez-Versini), Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding. They scored four number ones in the UK, sold four million albums, took a break in 2009, got back together for their 10th anniversary in 2012 and called it quits the following year.

Kimberley is still good friends with Nicola and Cheryl, who were both there at Bobby’s first birthday party. “I said to them, ‘You don’t have to come because it’s basically going to be a garden full of screaming kids,’ but they were like, ‘We have to see him blow the candle out.’ I see them quite regularly but not the other two really.” Diplomatically, she adds, “There’s no issue there – it’s just that I’m a lot closer to Cheryl and Nicola. We’ve just stayed really tight.”

Since the band split, Kimberley has kept her profile up. Along with Shrek, she came joint runner-up on the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing, released an album of theatre tunes, penned an autobiography and dabbled in TV presenting.

But she knows she’s got it easy compared to Cheryl, whose every move is scrutinised. “She handles it so well but it’s definitely challenging. She sees all the things I can do and she’s like, ‘How do you manage it?’ I get the best of both worlds because I’m still doing what I love without the pressure that she has. I can still go to the shops and all those normal things. I’m toeing a good line.”

We won’t be seeing Girls Aloud back on stage together any time soon, if ever. “There’s definitely no plans to reunite,” Kimberley insists. “Everyone’s doing their own thing now. We had more than a decade together and we’ve probably outstayed our welcome.”

There's more interview in the link above but nothing of interest. If you're bored I suppose you could give it a read.

There's obviously bad beef towards Nadine but I can't fathom what poor Sarah has done.

We all know there's clearly an issue. Sigh!

I don't feel too bad for Nadine in this because it's clear she is independent and doesn't care whether or not they like her anyway, but Sarah seemed really put out that she wasn't invited to Nicola's 30th, so it seems she's been shut out... it's all a shame.

They all look stunning, I do wish she'd invited Sarah and Nadine though :(

They look lovely, but the way they completely turfed out Nadine and Sarah... :\

Amazing. 😂

But tbf how do we know that Nadine and Sarah just didn't want to go? :kink:

Kimberley Walsh has not invited Nadine Coyle or Sarah Harding to her wedding.

While the singer and TV presenter will have former bandmates Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nicola Roberts by her side as bridesmaids, the final two members of the line-up have been snubbed.

She is due to tie the knot with long-term partner Justin Scott in Barbados later this month but The Sun reports she left her old friends off the guestlist because she views them more like 'colleagues'.

:kink:

Kimberley seems like such a bitch though
