It's a new day which means there's a new track of the day. This time it comes from La Roux who are back from their five year long break with a new album titled 'Trouble In Paradise'. 'Uptight Downtown' is the first single to be taken from it. It doesn't sound like a big hit but it's nice to have them back anyway, would be good if it could somehow scrape top 40.

'Uptight Downtown' is growing on me now and it does sound Radio 1 friendly. Still a shame 'Let Me Down Gently' is just a promo single, I prefer that and I think Radio 1 would like it too. Will be interesting to see how well La Roux can do chart-wise as 5 years is a long time not to be in the public eye and their recent music doesn't sound like hits in the way 'In For the Kill' and 'Bulletproof' did.

Okay, so on further research, those tracks are really old. They're in the 'Track Of The Day' playlist from BBC Playlister's Track Of The Day though. Strange.

Those days in May didnt have a track of the day because of Big weekend. As for April I think on the 18th it was Secondcity - 'I Wanna Feel' and on the 21st there was not one due to their being a whole day for the top 100 downloads in the last 10 years. Hope this helps :)

Just checked four of the shows for that day and Secondcity was played in four which means it was likely for the track of the day :D

Today's Track of the Day comes from English rock band Deaf Havana with their new single 22. Not to be confused with the Lily Allen and Taylor Swift songs of the same name, it is the third single to be taken from their third album Lost Souls. Not my style of music at all but I'm sure some of you may like it (Zech? Iz?)
