Definitely checking this one! Nice seeing 'Blind As I Am' and 'Bound' in the standard album. I like that 'Mess Around' is last too. ^_^

I love Solo Dancing and its Chris Lake remix, amazing!

'Solo Dancing' is one of my favourite tracks of the year but nothing else I've heard is doing anything for me. :(

 

I dunno, maybe I'll keep trying. She's obviously got a lot of talent.

The release of this has been pushed back to October 13th according to iTunes so it looks like they will probably rush out another single before it!

Release now pushed back to January 19th, I assume we'll get a new single the week before the album with a single premiere in November. I just hope the album gets released!

The album is out there. She's from Long Eaton (not far from where I live) and my mate knows her/pre-ordered the album and he got the album three weeks before actual release I believe!! (Has a photo on his facebook to prove it)

 

So it IS out there. I'll ask him if I can copy it! :P

 

But this release is a mess. She's in the live lounge tomorrow. So the October date would have been nice! I wanna hear it :(

she's fallen into a horrible PURGATORY situation; gotten a middle launch, all robyn bells but not the whistles, if they sped up 'heart on fire' it'd probably be one of the best songs of the year. poor poor management with a better product waiting to pop out is the general equation here. a shame but it comes cyclically.

October wasn't even the right time to release the album (I mean the gap between the latest single and the album is too long, and releasing another single already is a bit weird too). Definitely a shame to see the release getting delayed again though.

Ah interesting! I knew she was from the Nottingham area (which is near me too) but didn't know exactly where from, I've been through Long Eaton plenty of times on the train! :kink: Oh wow, lucky him!

 

Yeah it's a shame they didn't have the album ready after 'Solo Dancing' or that 'Heart On Fire' underperformed and I do think the album would struggle at this time of the year. Hopefully she'll get Radio 1 support again (I think she will do) for the next single and hopefully that goes top 40 so that the album can be released then.

A solid album on first listen. Nothing really stands out (that wasn't heard before the albums release) so much to me much on first listen, but it's a nice effort overall. 'Only The Lonely' is my clear favourite though, but 'Heart On Fire' really hit me upon hearing it in the context of the album. Great song. Sounds like it'll be a grower (much like all of her singles have been).

Very MOR & inoffensive on first listen, i expected a lot more going on 'Solo Dancing'. Having said that i did find it very pleasant and as Jonjo said 'Heart On Fire' really comes to life in the context of the album.

 

'No Romeo' is basically 'Solo Dancing' done again but with different lyrics :lol: the final few tracks make for a nice closing ('Shadow Flash', 'Only The Lonely' in particular). My overall verdict: nice.

the thought of listening to 19 tracks from this woman quite frankly frightens me for thoughts of what'd do to my mental health. is there any need?

 

in all honesty she has about 1.5 half decent songs. it kind of angers me that of all the blog-pop females out there, it's this bore that radio 1 have given so many chances and a mass of exposure to...

Well, this album sounds pretty good. ^_^ I'm happy this is gonna be released soon (I hope, no more delays please).

Great album on first listen, definitely worth the wait! It is very cohesive so may sound quite similar in places, but because I absolutely love her sound and her voice it doesn't matter to me. :wub:

My mate said that she/the label are thinking of re-releasing 'Blind As I Am' for the next single!
