One thing we can all be glad about is that the 'x' cover art is very aesthetically pleasing, so the iTunes chart looks quite pretty at the top this week.

If I'm not mistaken, are these tracks all appearing because everybody who has pre-ordered the album is being given these songs automatically and thus appearing on this chart as a result?

 

(Or is this blindingly obvious and I'm only just starting to get the concept of this whole "instant grat" thing?)

Neon Lights has been increasing on UK iTunes for 88 hours without a single red update

How long till we get Ed Sheeran occupying the whole 2-6 section. 5SOS need to drop faster, and Ella needs to climb quicker to make this happen before another instant grat comes along!

I'm quite surprised that he's at the stage where he can just send any album track to No.1 on iTunes, considering I See Fire couldn't even reach the top 10 :lol:

'I See Fire' didn't have thousands of pre-orders added to its sales.

Either that or people genuinely were just that idiotic and the majority of people that bought fake versions thought that they were the real deal :lol:

 

I think this is actually the case, based on iTunes reviews of high charting fake versions. Never underestimate the idiocy of the general public ~

 

(I actually bought a fake version once ('Whistle' by Can You Blow My) because I genuinely liked it after hearing it on the chart show. I actually prefer it to the Flo Rida version :lol:)

I think there are a decent number of people genuinely buying the songs this time as they are holding up much better than the likes of 'Midnight' but of course the majority of the sales will just be album pre-orders.

 

'One' has now re-entered the iTunes top 20, I wonder if it could possibly reach a new peak this week? Only needs to climb 9 places from today's mids and it seems to be steadily rising on iTunes.

The Vamps are actually increasing very fast with 'Somebody To You' - I can't help but think it would have been a better single to launch the album with. Hopefully 'Somebody To You' provides them with a top 3 hit.

 

Also YEY at Nicole Scherzinger away to enter the top 300 on iTunes. Hopefully Radio 1 decide to playlist her today!

I suppose the one positive thing about the next Ed Sheeran instant grat tomorrow is it should knock that horrific 'Wiggle' business out of the top 10, and it could lose its top 10 effect and halt its progress when everything else moves up...
