June 15, 201411 yr kylie top 60 is good seeing she had no phyisical,on download she well out done i was gonna cancel.Little mix getting two consecutive number 6 peaks and Gary Barlow getting his 30th week top 100 is all good. :cheer:
June 15, 201411 yr Didn't Janet Devlin have 4,000 pre-orders or something from her website? There's no way a No.43 album would have sold that much... Nasty drop for the Clean Bandit album :( J.Lo back to her floppy ways after a great era last time. Also, I missed why that (brilliant) Lorde cover charted, where was it played?
June 15, 201411 yr I can't believe the 2 best songs on this week's chart have charted so low: Kylie's Crystallize at 60 ans J.Lo's First Love at 63!!!! the download era has killed any career prospect for female singers over 40.... such a shame.... such amazing songs..
J-lo was already over 40 when 'On The Floor' was Number One.
June 15, 201411 yr And Kylie was 78 when 'All The Lovers' was a big hit as well. True story. And with some of the worst vocals in pop too.
June 15, 201411 yr Author Didn't Janet Devlin have 4,000 pre-orders or something from her website? There's no way a No.43 album would have sold that much... Nasty drop for the Clean Bandit album :( J.Lo back to her floppy ways after a great era last time. Also, I missed why that (brilliant) Lorde cover charted, where was it played? Apparently the Lorde song was/is on an ad - whatever the reason hooray for it charting, moving her yet further away from technical one hit wonder status (her 4th top 75 hit and 5th top 100, annoyingly 'Tennis Court' peaked at #78 and came nowhere near improving on that with the recent re-release, humbug).
June 16, 201411 yr Lethal Bizzle's song title seems oh so ironic now.I'm not entirely sure but wouldn't 'ironic' be if the song was called, say, The Climb? Or if it surged into the top 5? Edited June 16, 201411 yr by Riser
June 16, 201411 yr Finally, not shit song on the top. Who is that guy on the 7th place ? Is it World Cup song ?
June 16, 201411 yr Finally, not shit song on the top. Who is that guy on the 7th place ? Is it World Cup song ? Rik Mayall was a well known comedian who has sadly just died. 'Noble England' was originally recorded for the 2010 World Cup, but didn't chart back then.
June 16, 201411 yr And Kylie was 78 when 'All The Lovers' was a big hit as well. Very much in exgageration.
June 18, 201411 yr Seeing as "Let It Go" now is the sole holder of this "record", I've extended this list a little bit this week. June 21, 201411 yr Didn't Janet Devlin have 4,000 pre-orders or something from her website? There's no way a No.43 album would have sold that much... Janet had 4,328 pledges on Pledgemusic. These included other items such as posters, meet & greets on her tour, signed handwritten lyric sheets, personalised video performances, house shows etc. Added to this, pledges for the digital only version of the album were not counted in chart sales. There were around 3,500 pledges for the CD but these included international pledges, who outnumbered UK pledges but again were not included in the chart sales figure. I've read a few articles since the album release that her management have been inundated with calls from record companies from around the world wanting to release the album in their countries, and they are looking into these offers.
