Just listened to this again and it really is fantastic. Obviously Liam kicks the song off, as he did with nearly everything on that album because he was supposed to be the one that was going to be adored by literally everyone and the others would be mere backing singers. Sadly it wasn't meant to be for him though. The song itself has a beautiful chorus, but the best thing about it for me is the lyrics. Rather touching. June 18, 201411 yr Author Alive Just ahead of 'Moments' at #33 is one of the four deluxe album tracks from 'Midnight Memories', the third studio album from our One Direction boys. I wasn't particularly keen on this track to begin with and it didn't really stick out as a highlight or one that I'd see myself going back to a lot, but as I listened to the album more and more it kind of just got stuck in my head and now I absolutely love it! The chorus is everything, and it's such a Harry song! June 22, 201411 yr Author Half a Heart Another deluxe track from 'Midnight Memories' here, and just ahead of 'Alive' is 'Half a Heart', a beautiful ballad and definitely one of the boys' best! Didn't really listen to this a lot when I first heard the album, but it's now a firm favourite (even though most of the album falls into that category :lol:). June 22, 201411 yr Author Something Great Yet more from 'Midnight Memories' now and this time it's the beautiful album track 'Something Great'. This gets far more "hate" (or is it just a really under-appreciated song?) than it deserves, but it's really great. Rounding off the 'folk' section of the album, it's really gorgeous and of the nature I'd like to see more of from the boys with the next album, although I think we're in for a mixture of absolutely everything with the fourth instalment. June 29, 201411 yr Author Another World The b-side to the boys' second single 'Gotta Be You' is up next, and I think it's an absolutely amazing song. Of the b-sides it's only my second favourite because nothing compares AT ALL to the fabulosity and amazingness of 'Na Na Na' - which should have been a main album track. 'Another World' shits all over 'I Should Have Kissed You' however. This would have made a great single (although NOBODY please say that it should have been in place of 'Gotta Be You' or I'ma ban you x). June 29, 201411 yr Author One Thing A trio of singles coming up next, oops, and some people probably won't be too happy (well, maybe at this and one of the other two, but oh well :kink:). 'One Thing' is a good song, yes, yes it is. But, it's definitely one of their weakest singles if not THE weakest and I just don't really go back and listen to it that much when I'm going through 'Up All Night' or form a playlist of their singles. The video however is amazing though, definitely the right level of fun mixed with One Direction banter. The third single from the album of the same name that really kind of flopped is really anthemic and sounds so brilliant, but just falls short of *something* (not quite sure what that is yet). I'm sure this would sound absolutely fantastic live - Jay can you clarify for us? :wub: I really love the video for this even if there's a serious lack of Zayn. Really fun, and Harry looks amazing at all points. Yes. Joseph agrees. This time it's the Comic Relief charity single 'One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)', a cover of one of Blondie's (it is Blondie, right? Just keep forgetting considering this shits all over the original x) songs. It's an amazing cover, but definitely not one of their best singles. The video however is amazing (if somewhat weaker because of David bloody Cameron's appearance - they should have edited his face and made it the devil's). Zayn is perfect in it, Harry is perfect in it. Liam is there, Niall is there. Louis is ew. June 29, 201411 yr 'Midnight Memories' is properly brilliant, even my 1D hating sister loves it! Love 'One Way Or Another' as well, suits them a lot more than I thought it would initially.
