Please produce official sales of Westlife in these countries. :) To have a platinum album in Asia you don't have to sell very much at all btw ^_^

Or maybe the admin of Wikipedia decided it was time to get rid of false info :P

or maybe scotty has edited it.

  That is the stupidest thing I have heard all day

Nah, i would'nt have a clue how to do that :(

I tried it once when I wanted to edited some anastacia sales as they where completly wrong and some t*** kept changing them back so I edited it and put: WIKIPEDIA ARE $h!t BECUASE YOU CANT EVEN PUT THE RIGHT SALES UP

I should destroy westlifes page B) :P

So who can edit Wikipedia information? Surely they would only post official sales?

Nope, anyone can edit Wikipedia which is why is is a bad source for sales. -_-

Stupid really isnt it. There just a bunch of people who are sitting all together in a room working at the computer all day and they dont know a clue about the artist who they are working on.

And you just think, HELLO, we're the fans here, we know what where on about... well some of us do ^_^

I didn't know that, that puts the sales info on Wiki as completely unreliable.

Forget the sales battle! There's one contest where Westlife beat Robbie every time - the one for biggest pile of $h!t to ever release a single!

Leaving Robbie and Westlife aside, it amazes me to see that Shakin Stevens has sold more CDs than George Michael

I find that very hard to swallow

Well Shaky probably sold more vinyl than George! :)

To date he's had 33 Top 40 hits and 38 Top 75 hits - the most recent being Trouble which got to no 20 last June. And hopefully his next release will also do well when it hits the shops next month!

Scotty, to be fair, I do think Westlife has had some success outside the UK and Ireland, but not on the level that Robbie has on album sales and most definately not on concert tickets sales.

The listing that was compiled for the Channel 4 show, which put Robbie at No. 1 with 6million plus sales was only on albums released from the year 2000 and as mentioned it did not take in the Live at Knebworth album, Greatest Hits or Life Thru a Lens, I've Been Expecting You.

I have never considered Robbie as a single artist and his most enduring position in the single chart appears to be No.4. All his "classic" songs never made No. 1.

I agree, Westlife have a had success outside the UK but certainly have'nt in a million years sold 32 million album outside the UK and Ireland.

Oh and i forgot that that the list was only from 2000  It did'nt include IC sales either as i remember. He is way aheard when you include all of them :yahoo:

And yes all his best songs don't make #1 stangly enough. Feel, Angels, Come Undone, No Regrets. The list goes on ^_^

You are right there Scotty the figs didn't include IC, I did read that overall taking in all his releases Robbie has sold approx 18 million albums in the UK alone and 45 plus million world wide.

Either way more that Westlife I should think.
