Added Maroon 5's 'Animals' in because it's climbing due to them releasing an official video for it.

Lovely to see G.R.L. STILL climbing :o & fab to see Jessie & The Magician enter should help them out a little bit for this Sunday!

I don't suppose Ella Eyre is anywhere at all is she?

Not atm :( I suspect she'll be there soonish though. Could show by next week more likely like G.R.L. did on their debut except considerably lower.

So frustrating! They should really add all new releases 2 weeks before release, it'll push it down considerably officially.

Mehgan is a lock for number 1 this week, but it is interesting to see her going down one place.

Otherwise, very stagnant Top 10!!!

GRL slaying on streaming, if only they'd have been anywhere near this high on release week.

Are the new releases on downloads each week only put on spotify at the same time or like some songs are they available? No-one has made it clear on here though apologies if i missed it.

Surprised Taylor/Calvin are ahead of Meghan - hought she was a sure No1 this week on downloads and streams!

I know it's so stupid, the fact the Jessie Ware and The Magician have only just entered the top 100 and Ella still to chart is really going to impact on their final positions by Sunday!

The record companies need to release on Spotify at least 1/2 weeks prior to digital release to give them a good chance to get noticed sooner. I understand it helps to give longevity by delaying but it's not helping to give the tracks a decent peak position!

This was why streaming was added to force record companies to release streams and then in future downloads earlier, they havent got the message yet!
Streaming's imapct is still too small right at the top for record companies to care. If the sales/streaming weighting ever becomes 50/50 and a song is entering at #20 instead of #4 because of the delayed streaming impact, then heads will roll and record labels will be forced make songs immediately available for streaming (or revert to OA/OS, which is more unlikely).

The Magician top 100 :D

I did think Blame It On Me would do better than it's currently doing, it still has time to climb I guess but it won't be nearly as big as Budapest was on streaming

If the sales/streaming weighting ever becomes 50/50

It already is about 50/50 overall. In the sales report they usually give the ratio each week. Usually I think streaming accounts for 45-55% of the points atm, but obviously at the top of the chart it's mainly sales that count, whilst lower down streaming has a much bigger weighting.
