'Classic' doing so well on streaming seems very anomalous, the rest of the streaming chart is mostly in line with the sales chart except with a stronger showing for more 'alternative' acts, yet MKTO are about as far as you can get from 'alternative' and are doing a lot better on streams than sales. I mean, aside from Ed Sheeran album tracks there's only one other (available to download) song in the Spotify top 40 that isn't a top 10 hit and that's 'Let It Go' which is a different case entirely. :unsure:

I think it's helped that it's been quite high on the 'Worldwide Spotify Top Lists' for ages, which I often go to listen to songs.

Rude already top 10 without being on digital is great news! Looks like it'll be on course for ~6k this week which will put it in the top 60 officially. It won't be long before we get a song going top 40 without being available to download

The only way pre-orders will become meaningless is if either the sales market itself shrinks so much that it becomes almost irrelevent in the overall chart, or if songs don't get held back anymore.

MAGIC! has yet to overtake Ariana and even if it does tomorrow, it shouldn't get a lot more streaming this week than Ariana did last week, so it looks like they will get 12k at best from streaming.

And it seems Cheryl will do better than what Rixton did last week (she is #57 today already while Rixton was still only #84 same time last week), so she could easily get 3-4k from streaming.

Big increase for Cheryl, she seems to be doing as well as "Problem" did on streaming.

 

I suppose Nico & Winz could challenge for possibly the first top 40 based on streaming only if they continue to increase at this rate.
