OMG Mariah is No1 combined on spotify now, with 300k on the daily chart - I assume everyone has Xmas songs on spotify as they open their pressies - that figure is huge - I'm looking forward to see streaming sales at the end of the week!!

They might not give streaming sales, as they only usually do for the #1 single.

They gave the streaming % and the streams for the No1, obv UF will be the weeks No1 but Mariah won't be far off. I really think the Mark Ronson track will break the record again unless today stops it selling as well today - but he was doing 300k streams a day last week when I thought it was quite a large amount!

No surprise that Christmas songs are doing so well today, it makes sense that everyone's listening to them on Christmas day :P hope this means The Pogues and Mariah are comfortably top 40 this weekend and possibly Wham too :D

Means the Christmas songs are now gauranteed one more week each year!!

Hurray :cheer:

Surely those streams are counted from xmas Eve not today?

Funny Leona is #78 and wasn't on the top 200 two days ago. Being included in that playlist hugely helped (as well as yesterday being Christmas Eve)

I'm guessing people will still be streaming Christmas songs a lot today, despite them all falling fast on iTunes.

I checked lastnyt and it was different if you check my two big Xmas positions posts from lastnyt and today. Mariana on nearly 300k of AIWFCIY!

Just shows streams continue throughout Xmas day whereas downloads are downloaded before Xmas day then listened too!

Britney Spears My only Wish this Year 93

Britney smashing that Top 100!

I'm fairly sure Mariah/Pogues at least will remain top 40 on sales anyway this week, considering 5 days out of 7 are in the Christmas period :P (plus Boxing Day for some, like myself, too)

They were both still in the top 30 last year in the post-Xmas week so yes, they will definitely be easily top 40 on sales (I think there is one more day of Xmas sales this year than last?)

Mariah #1 on Spotify! I assume I'm seeing a combined chart on my iPad Spotify app. Wham! at #2, Pogues at #3, with Mark Ronson down to #4. 41 songs in the Top 50 are Christmas songs.
Are they still rising or is that chart from the last 24hrs?

They've risen today a bit but that's from christmas day. The Christmas songs will probably dive tomorrow, though I'm sure lots of people do still listen to festive songs throughout the week.

They'll probably fall a bit and then completely bomb by NYE. My family still listens to Christmas songs after Christmas Day so I guess others do too
Sundays chart as per usual will be the most interesting of the year!
