22. Who You Love (Ft John Mayer)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/d/d6/WhoYouLove.jpg/220px-WhoYouLove.jpg

Avg: 4.3

Highest Rates: Michael=10

Lowest Rates: AdamAloud = 0

Kicking off this countdown is the first of 3 non album singles, "Who You Love" featuring John Mayer, and was featured on his album "Paradise Valley" and released as the 3rd single in August 2013. The track is a ballad about accepting falling in love with someone. Released in the USA and reached #48 on the Billboard Charts, and cracked the top 20 on the component charts #11 on Hot Rock Songs and #18 on US Adult Top 40. Worldwide despite it not being released anywhere else it managed a #70 peak in Canada and #95 in Australia. On this rate it's not surprising that this came bottom, given the fact that it's not one of her most well known singles, with 10 non votes and others were mainly low 14 of them were 5 and under, which is why it came out with a poor average score of 4.3.

21. If You Can Afford Me

Lowest Rates: Cameron, Mack, Ultraviolence =3

At #21 and just missing the Top 20 is "If You Can Afford Me" a single from her debut album "One Of The Boys" which was released in New Zealand only as the third single over there instead of "Thinking Of You" and managed to peak at #28, probably due to the fact that the track didn't have a music video to promote it over there and was used mainly for radio play. On this rate this track managed two 10's, three 9's, nine 7's and 6's, but quite a lot of low scores as well.

20. Thinking Of You

Avg: 6.816

Highest Rates: SceneofSIXCrimes =11 & Jsily=10

Lowest Rates: Michael & JoeP = -1

Right kicking off the top 20 is another One Of The Boys era singles "Thinking Of You", released in January 2009 as the third single and written by Katy Perry herself, and was originally intended to be the first single until she changed her mind and released "I Kissed A Girl" instead. Despite positive reviews and riding high on the massive success of her previous 2 singles, it became her lowest charting worldwide single to date, her first and only to miss the top 20 peaking at #29. The song itself tells the story of a break up in which she doesn't want to move on from a broken relationship despite being with another man and American actor Matt Dallas plays the WW2 soldier in the music videos. Worldwide the track saw a similar performance missing the UK top 20 as well peaking at #27 and didn't make the top 10 anywhere worldwide, peaking highest in France at #11 and also making top 20 in Belgium, Italy, Austria, Netherlands and Germany. Top 30 in Canada and Sweden, while top 40 positions in Australia, Slovakia and Ireland and #45 in Switzerland. Thankfully she bounced back with further releases and it seemed that the world wasn't ready for a Katy Perry ballad just yet. On this rate this track managed just one 11 and one 10, and it did start off pretty well with mostly 8's and 9's, but then as it went on it started taking a dip with a two -1's and a couple of low rates as well.

You forgot to mention it dipped when everyone remembered it is basically Screech!

Thinking Of You should be so much higher :(

It really shouldn't. It's absolutely painful. Who on earth gave it 11?

I know If You Can Afford Me wasn't given a full release, but it should've rated so much better!

19. Starstrukk (Ft 30H!3)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/47/3OH!3_-_Starstrukk.jpg/220px-3OH!3_-_Starstrukk.jpg

Avg: 6.964

Highest Rates: Jsily=10

Lowest Rates:Heezus=1 & Cameron = 1.5

At #19 is Katy Perry's first collaboration and her 5th single in total "Starstrukk" taken as the 3rd single from 30H!3's album "Want". Released in September 2009 and became a success in the UK reaching #4 and selling 580,000 copies and spending several months on the charts, as well as hitting top 5 in Belgium, Australia and Ireland and top 20 peak in New Zealand, top 40 in Canada and Danish and low charting peaks in Austria, Sweden and The Netherlands. In the USA the single failed to become a success peaking at only #66 becoming her first and to date only single to not chart in the top 40. On this rate this track did manage a couple of high rates consisting of a 10, thirteen 8's and 9's, but it was the 7 low rates that brought it's average down to 6.964.

18. Birthday

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/11/Katy_Perry_-_Birthday_Single_Cover.png/220px-Katy_Perry_-_Birthday_Single_Cover.png

Avg: 6.983

Highest Rates: AdamAloud, DionTheSats123, Michael & Doug=10

Lowest Rates: THE GRIFF & SceneofSIXCrimes = -1

At #18 is Katy Perry's most recent single to date "Birthday" taken as the 4th single from her third album "PRISM" making this the first from that era to drop out of this countdown. Despite positive reviews from critics who cited this as a future single, fans didn't take to this very well, as many wanted "Walking On Air" as the next single, and despite a creative music video, it just do it any wonders, to be honest I always imagined that the video would be a Marie Attoniette type video, where Katy and others wearing corsets and eating cake and ending in a food fight, but that's just my idea, (Oh well). Released in April of this year and became a moderate success worldwide this track charted highest in South Africa peaking at #3 and top 10 in Canada #7 while peaking in the top 20 in New Zealand and USA, top 30 in UK and Australia, top 40 in Finland, Netherlands and Slovakia and top 50 in Ireland and lower peaks everywhere else. On this rate this track did manage to gain four 10's and eleven 8's and 9's and did get off to a strong start, then took a sharp dip in the middle with some lower rates and struggled towards the end with some average rates.

17. Legendary Lovers

Lowest Rates: J*hq=0

At #17 is another PRISM era track "Legendary Lovers" which was announced as the upcoming 5th single but that's been apparently changed to "This Is How We Do", so my bad I shouldn't have included this as it was a bit early and I got a bit ahead of myself sorry guys. This track has been cited by Katy herself as being one of her personal faves and possible future single, and the song itself does take a change of pace from her usual stuff with a worldbeat and folk drawn in with country influences. When the album was released this track did manage to chart in The Netherlands at #33 and #69 in South Korea due to downloads and charted at #50 on the US Pop Digital Songs chart. On this rate this track did manage four 10's and 13 high rates, but also quite a few non rates and low rates as well.

16. If We Ever Meet Again (Ft Timbaland)

Avg: 7.266

Lowest Rates: AdamAloud=0

At #16 is Katy Perry's second collaboration released single "If We Ever Meet Again" featuring Timbaland and taken as the 4th single from his third album "Shock Value II", and he said that Black Eyed Peas song "I Gotta Feeling" inspired him on this song and instead of doing his usual rap he sings. Released in January 2009 and hit the US top 40 peaking at #37 becoming her 6th top 40 hit, but fared much better worldwide topping the charts in Czech Republic and New Zealand, and top 5 in Israel, Ireland, UK, Canada and France and top 10 in Slovakia, Norway, Spain, Swiss, Australia, Germany, Austria and Italy and top 40 in 6 other countries. On this rate this track managed a impressive six 10's and 12 8's and 9's, but quite a few lower rates as well.

15. Part Of Me

Avg: 7.266

Highest Rates: Mack & Heezus=11

Lowest Rates: Aled, Jade & Atonement =2

At #15 is "Part Of Me" the first of the "Teenage Dream" era singles to drop out of this countdown. Released in February 2012 and released as the lead single from the re-release of her 2nd album "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" making this the 7th release in total. Written by Katy herself and Bonnie McKee and wasn't included on the original edition of her 2nd album as she felt that it did not fit the overall feel of the album and despite a demo version leaked online in 2010, she re worked the song and many thought that the lyrics reflected her divorce from Russell Brand. When released the track became a smash hit topping the US charts, giving her 6th chart topper from the album and 7th in total, as well as hitting #1 in Bulgaria, Canada, New Zealand, Scotland and the UK (her third #1 over there). Top 10 in Australia, Ireland, Hungary, Mexico and Israel and top 20 in Slovakia, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium and Germany and top 40 positions in Japan, Brazil, Netherlands and Swiss. On this rate this track managed two 11's and two 10's and mainly mixed rates throughout.
