At #4 is "Dark Horse" becoming her sixth single to feature a guest artist following 30H!3, Timbaland, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West and John Mayer. This track was first release as a promo single in from her third album "PRISM" and was then released officially in 2014 as the album's third official single, making this the final PRISM era single to feature in this countdown. This also showed a change of pace in Perry's sound using trap and trip hop genres, with minimal production and caused an uproar when first previewed and she asked on Twitter whether the fans would prefer this or "Walking On Air" released as the first promo single, and this got chosen. This track rebounded on the charts after her previous hit "Unconditionally" under performed by topping the charts in USA becoming her 9th #1 and selling over 5 million copies there selling more than "Roar", and topping the charts in Canada (becoming her 10th over there), Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Poland. Top 5 in Austria, Czech Republic, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, Israel, Mexico, Swiss, UK, Finland, Italy and South Africa. Top 10 in Denmark, France, Hungary and Spain. On this rate this track gained two 11's and a whopping 13 10's and just 3 low rates.

Yes but when the sales are included in the whole of the UK then the sale are accounted for. For example, NI, Wales, NE, all parts of the Uk will have their own charts right?, but they are just compiled into 1 giant chart

Agreed.

Hmm ... we are far more similar than onceth we thougheth :friends: :coffee:  :w00t:

Not as far as I am aware. I've only seen Scottish charts tbh.

At #3 is "Teenage Dream" the title track from her second album and released as the second single in July 2010. A midtempo pop song with a retro sound and described as a throwback to the euphoric feelings of being in love as a teenager, and of course showed a different style to her previous singles up to that point and went down well with fans, critics and the record buying public and was even cited as the 4th best song of 2010 by Rolling Stone and topped the charts in the USA becoming her 3rd at the time and second following "CG". Worldwide it topped the charts in Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and Slovakia. #2 positions in Australia, Austria, Canada and UK as well as top 5 in Netherlands, Bulgaria, Israel and Poland, top 10 in France, Germany, Czech Republic, Swiss and Italy and top 20 in Spain, Denmark, Belgium and Japan and finally top 40 positions everywhere else. On this rate this track gained four 11's, nine 10's and 10 8's and 9's.

So who do u think will come out on top "Firework" or "ET"

Wow E.T wit a chance of winning! :o

But poor Teenage Dream :(

Wow josh kloss is a lot thinner than I remember!

Sad that Dark Horse and Teenage Dream haven't won.

ET is my second favourite track of hers so would love that to win.

WHAT the BLOODY HELL at 'Wide Awake' not top 5? You're all so very wrong.

Out of the two I'd prefer a 'Firework' win, 'E.T.' is good but certainly not worthy of a best single title.

Would've loved Wide Awake, Cali Gurlz or Teenage Dream to have won!

Firework will hopefully win. It'd be a disaster if ET won.
Sean and Atonement both of y'all need Jesus for those -1's

Not at all, I really don't get the Cali Gurl hype

Both E.T. or Firework would be good winners so not overly fussed which wins! :)

Right now we are almost coming to an end and after such a close battle, "Firework" loses out on the #1 spot by such a close score 0.5. But it did put up such a good fight and was the winner for a time, until the winner got in with some last minute high votes. Released in October 2010 as the 3rd single from her 2nd album "Teenage Dream", co written by Katy herself and producers Stargate and Sandy Vee and additional writing from Ester Dean. The song itself is a self empowerment anthem and it's a very personal and important song to Katy Perry herself and became her third chart topping US hit in a row, making this her 4th in total at the time, selling 509,000 copies to reach the #1 spot and sold over 6 Million copies in total. In the UK "Firework" entered the charts at #5 and then reached #3 a few weeks later and has currently sold over a million copies over there making this her best selling UK single to date. Worldwide it topped the charts in Canada, New Zealand and Venezuela and top 3 peaks in Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Slovakia, Australia, Austria, Israel, Luxembourg, Poland, Scotland, Swiss and top 5 in Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, Belgium and Brazil, along with top 10 peaks in France and Netherlands, and top 20 in Denmark, Spain, Romania and Finland and finally top 30 in Japan peaking at #27 over there. "Firework" is also currently Katy Perry's biggest selling single worldwide with a whopping 11 Million sold worldwide. The music video itself shot in Budapest with scenes of people becoming confident within themselves was nominated for 3 awards at the MTV Music Video Awards and won one for Video of the year and was even nominated for 2 Grammys. On this rate this track gained an massive responce with two 11's and eleven 10's, six 9's and six 8's, and only one low rate of 3, all the rest were positive.

So there you have it people, out of everyone who voted and it's "E.T." that comes out on top, so Buzzjack have spoken and have chosen this as your winner. Released in February 2011 as the 4th single from her 2nd album "Teenage Dream" and taking a change of pace from her previous releases, taking a Electronic, hip hop ballad with dubstep and the lyrics speaks of falling in love with a foreigner, and for it's single release rapper Kanye West was featured on guest vocals. The track was orginally intended for hip hop group Three 6 Mafia, however when Katy heard the track she snapped it up for herself and became an instant firm fave with fans when the album was released and with a futuristic alien styled video, the track became another chart topper for her becoming her 4th #1 in a row, and 5th in total in the USA. In the UK it became another smash hit for her peaking at #3 and sold over 450,000 copies earning a Gold Disc and currently her 9th best selling single in the UK. Worldwide it topped the charts in Canada and top 5 in Scotland, Australia, Ireland and Israel, top 10 in Austria, Germany, Italy, France and Hungary, along with top 20 peaks in Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Finland and Romania. On this rate despite not gaining any 11's, it did manage a whopping 15 10's more than any other single on this rate along with eight 9's, five 8's and no score lower than 5.
