Oops. Apparently members from Ashleigh's church were handing out flyers to "Evict Helen" in the final, without realizing it was a vote to win. They also took out an ad with the same information in 3 nearby towns.

Channel 5 and Big Brother have released a big statement about the final following fix allegations and complaints from people who couldn't get through to Ashleigh's line during the airing of the final.

http://bigbrother.channel5.com/statement

6. At 8.55pm on August 15, immediately prior to the live broadcast of the Final of Big Brother 2014, the voting stood as follows:

Ashleigh was 7,887 votes ahead of Helen.

Helen was 12,628 votes ahead of Christopher.

Christopher was 6,319 votes ahead of Ash

Ash was 10,296 votes ahead of Chris

Chris was 13,365 votes ahead of Pav

7. At 10.03pm on August 15, when voting lines closed for the final time during the live broadcast of the Final of Big Brother 2014, the voting stood as follows:

Helen was 4,631 votes ahead of Ashleigh.

Ashleigh was 75,818 votes ahead of Christopher.

Christopher was 13,303 votes ahead of Ash

Ash was 23,108 votes ahead of Chris

Chris was 14,594 votes ahead of Pav

In particular, seems very odd that Helen would suddenly just gather 12,000 more votes than Ashleigh in the space of an hour if there WASN'T issues with Ashleigh's line.

Someone on twitter was adamant Ashleigh's line closed before Helen's, but I assumed that was just bitter Ashleigh stans who can't let it go. It does maybe seem a little suspicious but surely they wouldn't be that blatant with the fixing

Hmmm yeh, Ashleigh had been (presumably if she was at 9am on Friday as well) leading all week, only for, in the last hour, Helen's support suddenly grows so much. I would have though Ashleigh would have picked up the casual votes more than Helen, not the other way around? Also, after getting Jale and Winston out, younwould have thought Ashleigh's fans would have gone out in full force in those last few moments. I wasn't think there was anything suspicious but them clarifying has had the opposite intended result on me after seeing the number of votes! The show gets fix comments surrounding around it all the time anyway, why have they chosen to respond to this one?

I saw a tweet from someone that was hilarious, he said "I'll be surprised if that lasted even half as long as Steven in bed"
Took him a while to propose, to be honest, considering he already had her gravestone picked out for her a few months ago.

It is true @stevenjbgoode & I have decide to do a competition & a lucky 5 winners will be invited to our wedding #steverly #HolidaySpirit

Loool how tragic

Thinking they'll even get five entries is a bit ambitious! I have seen two "Steverly" fan accounts though :drama:
