Its clear Cheryl got a lot of initial pre orders because of her name but Rude is being heard now (Alisted on radio 1 2 weeks prior to release) and people are really liking it because a song doesnt usually reach this stage until the days leading up to release!

That Magic song (whatever it is) is going to beat Cheryl to number 1 :(

Why do you think they've suddenly got it after they've been ahead for less than 1 week, compared to Cheryl being ahead for around 6 weeks? :P

 

Because in the post I made yesterday, it showed that Cheryl's pre-order lead is very easily catchable. It will be very close, but it's by no means a guaranteed #1 for Cheryl anymore.

Exactly. If Cheryl goes in with a pre-order lead of even 10k (which would be lucky), she may as well not have it. I can't see it being a factor in the battle.

 

What I'm wondering is why Cheryl being ahead for 6 weeks is supposedly a big advantage outside of the ~6k (if that) initial boost she'll have over 'Rude'.
