I can sympathize with all of you who are finding it difficult to vote on time because of work + commitments as I've been in that position for a good few months now (hence why it is taking me about 500 years to get the spin-off forum in order eeeek + the fact that I'm pretty quiet these days eugh) and it's absolutely nightmarish, but abiding to a deadline is one of the conditions of entering these competitions. There is a lot of pressure on the hosts but it's necessary because we don't want a situation where some votes get accepted because they're X amount of minutes/hours late and some don't because they come in later than the rest + people DNQing as a result of late votes etc.

(not even sure if that made sense but I gotta get to work bish)

WHY ARE YOU ALL GAGGING SO SHE BRING IT TO YOU EVERY BALL

#justiceforbabs :(

I'm sorry but the whole 'I work//have a busy social life//couldn't stop m*sturb*ting//whatever// excuses hold no water. You had a week to vote, if you can't run through 2/3 listens in that time and adequately fulfill your real life commitments, then it's probably a good idea to take a break for a month. The rules regarding late votes have never been bent for 'oh, I was busy', because everyone is at some point and yet the vast majority got their votes in on time.

The reason we made 23:59 the mandatory deadline was so we had a consistent deadline. When it was purely up to the hosts discretion then the goal posts were constantly moving and that was just not kosher. I've managed to vote on time only with mobile internet access and foresight to download both mp3 packs immediately and throw them on my iPod before I started volunteering.

When I finish the fortnight of death I will look at the rule changes were about to bring forward and see if any tweaks need to be made for clarity or consistencies sake

i'd make a suggestion re playing songs on itunes or other players - when I play them I move them up or down the list according to how much i like them and get a rough order for them. Then play a second time and adjust accordingly again. And so on. You get the whole semi in the right order, as much as you can depending on how many times you play. My points are always a snapshot in time on the day I vote, they change and evolve even after the contest - which is why so many from BJSC65 are still in my chart, and some tracks have bloomed later on after more plays.

It's also fair because you're not being swayed by who sent it in, much as I often want to give points to some countries for being daring or inventive - if a record is my 11th fave it's my 11th fave :(

I've found my entry for next contest I think and it;s not what you'd expect from Yehesi

Yo impatient hoes!

If this contest goes well for me I have a few more songs of its ilk that I've had for a while. Hopefully I can mine a few hits out of that sound before it gets old.

I have my entry for next contest now and I am not exaggerating when I say it's certain to win with at least 300 points.

Will you leave some points for us, or will you be snatching them all up?

All other points will be attributed by random.org because no one will listen to any song other than mine, it's just that iconic.

Is it iconic in a similar way that 'Skeletons Having Sex on a Tin Roof' was iconic?

Not quite.

Well as long as I come 2nd all is well http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/f58a8b71.gif

#hypetoendallhype is possibly not happening now but luckily I have an equally iconic song in my arsenal set to possibly replace it *.* (until it gets vetoed anyway). Persephonia to rightfully take their place as the QUEEN POP HOE NATION.
