July 16, 201411 yr Ouch. Rizzle Kicks are doing just as badly with their pre-orders too, despite already being track of the day. It's so annoying. I wish there was something we call all do to stop this single from flopping, but apart from buying/streaming it, there isn't. I kind of fear for the tour now, I was hoping airplay would sell the remaining seats. I hope they don't have to cancel any of the dates. Edited July 16, 201411 yr by JoeP
July 16, 201411 yr they didnt playlist Nicole Scherzinger and she's no.2 in the midweeks. even though her song is downright awful! and I'm surprised they haven't A-listed Cheryl Cole, her pre-orders have been massive. Hasn't left the Top 70 ever since it was first available and is currently sitting around no.40 Edited July 16, 201411 yr by goldfish
July 16, 201411 yr Radio 1 are done with them, most of us knew it was coming. It's a shame they didn't support this era, as it is to celebrate the success of the girls (which Radio 1 were a BIG part of). It's the end of an era for the girls and they should be worried, as this is going to make things difficult for all future releases. But, They should be more worried by the fact that no radio station in the country is "hammering" there song (apart from The Hits!) if there was ever a time to get a Radio Tour in place it's now. I'd love to see the girls make it to 20 singles and 15 top 10's.

And if the girls had been in the country doing little shows and interviews, getting clips of the song out there and created a little buzz, the radio 1 playlist might have been looking a bit different this afternoon. What a shame. I feel like asking for a refund for my £30 box set, if they aren't going to put the effort in, why should I spend my money. It's so frustrating because if you look at MHTO, Gentleman and 30 Days which were all playlisted. Not Giving Up and WAYWF would have flourished so much better with the same playlisting. July 16, 201411 yr But, They should be more worried by the fact that no radio station in the country is "hammering" there song (apart from The Hits!) if there was ever a time to get a Radio Tour in place it's now. lack of promo and radio appearances is a MAJOR issue with The Sats especially with the last 4 singles. I can't even put into words how much it frustrates me.

I really wonder what it's like when their management have meetings about the girls progress. Surely they MUST know their radio peaks? Surely they are aware that without radio, they won't get their lovely little top ten singles? Surely they know that they have to make people aware of their songs so that people can buy them? So it's July 2014 and this year they shot a video in one day (Not Giving Up), performed it on TV twice, shot a music video at a holiday resort (basically while catching a tan and sitting by the pool) and performed at a few gigs. They've done sweet f*** all! What do they do all year?!?

Aren't they like the next best thing after the big radio stations (Heart, BBC, Capital and Free Radio)
July 16, 201411 yr I think the Hits hammering their song is better than nothing. Aren't they like the next best thing after the big radio stations (Heart, BBC, Capital and Free Radio) The Hits average is 950,000, It's currently the 24th most listened to radio station. Another station which plays them is Heat Radio, they rank #28. Are KISS playing them? After Radio 1 and Capital they are the biggest. 6th most listened to radio station with 4 million+ listeners daily.
July 16, 201411 yr Sorry but radio 1 are a joke. It's all politics with them. They playlist artists like Kieza who's music is dire but just because she's "current" unlike The Sats. They basically playlisted all The Sats competiton. They better f***in at least playlist next week.
July 16, 201411 yr I know the album flopped but the last Saturdays single R1 playlisted went to number 5 and has sold a decent approx of 150K. The last Saturdays song they A-listed went to number 1 and sold 400+k so they should have given them another chance really.
July 16, 201411 yr I think the best thing to do would be to tweet Radio 1. The hits is playing 'What Are You Waiting For' a fair amount but nothing in comparison to other songs - it's still not top 40 in their radio plays.

If they worry they're loosing some of their precious young viewership, they'll panic. Last saturdays song they playlisted = #5, last 1975 single they playlisted= #179... Which one did they playlist this week? :(
July 16, 201411 yr Are KISS playing them? Not even once. :o Although I thought they went there and got the track played, no? Maybe 'Compare My Radio' hasn't uploaded it yet, I don't know...
July 16, 201411 yr Not even once. :o Although I thought they went there and got the track played, no? Maybe 'Compare My Radio' hasn't uploaded it yet, I don't know... Even when the girls went in and did a pre-recorded interview with them, when they played it back they only played a minute of WAYWF.

July 16, 201411 yr The best we can hope for now is for tomorrow for Capital to playlist it (and actually play it) and for the girls to have a decent string of performances of the song coming up over the next few weeks. (not just Loose Women/This Morning)

The hits is playing 'What Are You Waiting For' a fair amount but nothing in comparison to other songs - it's still not top 40 in their radio plays. It takes a while for them to enter. It's very close now. I remember 'If I Go' took almost a month to get where it is now on their most played chart
July 16, 201411 yr I wonder if they'll do album signings? Rizzle Kicks went to #3 with their signings last year. 500 signings a day x 5 days = 2,500 sales which could be the difference between a #1 album and a #2 album, or a #10 and an #11.
