July 21, 201410 yr Well, I know there is a Scottish Chart, I didn't know if they stayed separate chart wise. Scotland are separate from England and Wales with a lot of things, laws, policies etc. So I was just checking. There is a Scottish chart, but the sales still all contribute to the UK charts. So like you said, the playlisting is better than bad news.
July 21, 201410 yr It actually does look like airplay may be 'picking up' The new compare my radio has spawned in just two days, and there have been 1/2/3 spins on each the smaller stations over the last 1/2 days. http://comparemyradio.com/tracks/The_Satur...You_Waiting_For? ( http://comparemyradio.com/tracks/The_Satur...You_Waiting_For - the old one) After the initial spins when the song first premiered, the smaller radios weren't playing it at all until now, it seems. If Capital can start giving it the odd play during the day from the next playlist update, I have every confidence that this will manage to safely secure itself a spot in the top 10! July 21, 201410 yr Me too Lee! It's my favourite part(y) of the song. It;s funny, that there are lots of melodies in the song, but our favoruite part is the repetitive part everyone was complaining about when we heard snippits.
July 21, 201410 yr I can't believe it took 8 people to write 'What Are You Waiting For'. :kink: I agree, 1:30 - 1:45 is repetitive but that's what makes it amazing because the What Are You Waiting For becomes much more euphoric!
July 21, 201410 yr The "tell me what are you waiting for?" parts are so clumsy and messy sounding (too many words in the note?) but at the same time I love them. I just wish I liked the 'party over' section as much. :(
July 21, 201410 yr 1:30-1:45 is defo the best bit. I was talking to Juliano the week it premiered about that bit of the song. It's just such a *.* moment like Lee Said.
July 21, 201410 yr I think 1:30 - 1:45 is the worst bit of the song  The "What are you waiting for" built up is fantastic though, but the moment 1:30 chorus kicks in it immediately ruins the moment. The part just sounds so dance-generic which creates this anti-climatic feeling. I'm on my 86 play by the way, it's easy to repeat it when it's only 3:26.
July 21, 201410 yr 1:15-1:45 is the best bit for me as well. I found myself not so attracted to the "the party ain't over" bit despite the part being the only bit with an actual proper melody. I just think, in the context of the song, it doesn't work that well. (Not that I hate it or anything) 2:15 - 2:30 is also very good and essential into the song. It's just so huge and agressive that it really needs these 15 seconds of "calm".
July 21, 201410 yr This was played briefly in the background on Hollyoaks today <3 had a little bop for a few seconds

The "What are you waiting for?" hook is so catchy and euphoric in that part.
