I don't understand why everyone gets worked up everytime they're snubbed by someone or a single underperforms etc. We've seen it enough times now that you should just be able to brush it off. Just enjoy the music and the fact that these girls are still together while many other girl groups have come and gone in the same time.

The thing to worry about is the album and the tour sales because that is where the money is, not 99p downloads. Yes it would look nice to have another top 10, but I'd much rather they had a top 3 album which sold well followed by a tour which sold well.

But where do they go from here if what has probably supported them the most and given them a major chunk of their success won't play them along with other stations? Yes, the album will probably perform much better than their past two albums, but they can't release anything after this if the radio won't play the song. The biggest and best promotion for an album is the singles. This will be their second single to embaressingly under-perform. MHTK, 30 Days and Gentleman, fair enough. But the song is too good to be flopping here.

Airplay shouldn't be everything. Nicole Scherzinger is currently #2 in the midweeks despite having no major airplay from Radio 1 and Capital. All they need is to promote like mad - just like she did. But they won't because they're happy scraping by and people need to start accepting that.

(To be honest if it wasn't for me being such a huge fan and leader of the Rochettes/The Dutch Sats, I would buy the album, instead of the album and single)

Honestly, I don't think 30 days under-performed that badly, it just fell much quicker than we wanted. It's almost (or passed) 80k which is close to double of MHTK or Gentleman. I think the single will pass these three sales in the long run though.

April is bang on about the no need for airplay though. It would be nice to have it, but it would be better if they went promoting like crazy. At the end of the day, it's not just them who are in an airplay 'rut' there are many artists suffering the same problem and in order to overcome the constant snubbings, they will need to be everywhere, then the radio won't be able to avoid them.

I respectfully disagree about the need for airplay. In my opinion they, and most other acts really need it for success.

Anyway, I'll try not to be negative now. I'm going to focus on the album - which could genuinely do very well, and hopefully something positive will happen for the single in the meantime. :)

You're not being negative :)

I think that's unfair for the girls. The 'Disco Love' campaign was much bigger than Nicole's for 'Your Love', for example. They don't *always* sit and wait.

Nicole's already #4 on iTunes and it's only Wednesday/half of the week. She's not so far off from the #5 either and could keep on falling without the radios playing it now that she doesn't have any promo left. If anything, I think that proves that promo isn't everything and airplay is. That being said, I genuinely thought when radios would see her being #2 on iTunes and in the midweek they would actually playlist and play it (that's what happened with 'What About Us')...but they didn't?

I don't believe you're being negative JoeP. Like you said, not everything is pink and happy in The Saturdays world right now. I think as long as you keep on enjoying the music and the group/the girls, then it's fine to discuss the underperformances of their latest efforts.

It's so disheartening to see a massive track like this being snubbed and I was so sure it was gonna be playlisted! Well hopefully Capital get behind it again and hopefully R1 playlist it next week.
Believe it or not, but I'm more pissed off at Capital not playlisting it than radio one as they hyped the song up quite a bit (for the premiere) and then played it another time (not the breakfest re-broadcast), yet they haven't decided to playlist it. I've seen loads of comments on twitter when their playlist was published about there being no Saturdays and double songs from Duke Dumont and Ed Sheeran yet they haven't even listened to them either

I remember back in 2012 Radio 1 and Capital were a complete joke with their playlisting. They had Call Me Maybe, We Are Young, RIP, Where Have You Been, Somebody That I Used To Know, Too Close, Black Heart etc all these songs absolutely HAMMERED for months (and funnily enough, they were in the top 40 for an eternity...I wonder why?) and everyone was sick of them. Then we had all these fresh songs being released (30 Days, So Good, Bright Lights, Scream, Last Time, Sparks etc) that managed one week in the top 10 before plummeting into obscurity because radio refused to give them proper attention. It's the same now in 2014.

It's so f***ing boring turning on Capital and hearing Sing or I Will Never Let You Down for the 100th time.

Honestly I think Capital have become worse with 'hammering' specific songs as at least they gave some form of attention to fresh songs. Now they just playlist songs to get on the good side of artists and play them never.

Excuse me leader ? Anyways Tim.... I still wouldn't buy the album and single (I'm horrible stan :lame: ). Why would anyone want the single when it's on the album anyways.

I need thats special box thingy, but I just spend so much money  .

Well we're the only 2 Dutch stans and since you admitted to not buying their music, I declared myself leader of our 2 man fanclub and becaus I'm amazng also the leader of The Rochettes (April, you can be viceleader :D)

But I do buy their music, I just haven't pre-ordered WAYF yet ^_^ So I guess that means you're downgraded back to just a fan like me and a non-leader of the Rochettes. This holy rochette trinity needs to balanced babe :teresa: , or we might fall apart just like the Frankie stans.

I already Imagine lee lurking, hoping for the Rochettes to turn against each other.

Also I think it's time for When Love Takes Over to leak already.
