Jessica Lange

http://s3.amazonaws.com/img.goldderby.com/images/1349752519_Lange.jpg

I totally respect this actress although I haven't watched many of her movies. However, she has a great personality and I feel that she totally shines. Maybe, the majority of the voters don't know this woman but I believe that she deserves your attention. She is an American actress who has worked in film, theater and television. Her paternal ancestry originates in Germany and the Netherlands, while her maternal ancestry originates in Finland. Her debut role was in "King Kong" in 1976! She received her first Golden Globe Award and was followed by a role in the musical "All That Jazz" (1979), her second output delivered in the 1970s. Throughout the 1980s, she starred in ten major motion pictures, five of which earned her Academy Award nominations and four at Golden Globes, respectively. Apart from the winner on both ceremonies "Tootsie" (1982), her other notable roles featured the films "Frances" (1982), "Country" (1984), or so far also her only work co-produced by herself, "Sweet Dreams" (1985), and "Music Box" (1989). The subsequent decade, Lange was assigned a line-up of additional leads of comparable quality, appearing in ten theatrical films and three television productions. Among others, her 1990s titles included "Men Don't Leave" (1990), "O Pioneers!" (1992), "Blue Sky" (1994), "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1995), "A Thousand Acres" (1997), and "Titus" (1999). This time around, the actress was nominated for one Oscar which she won, four Golden Globes, winning two, and an Emmy, her first nomination ever! In the most recent decade, Lange has revitalized her performing craft by starring in a FX's horror anthology called American Horror Story (2011–present). Lange is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), specializing in the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and in spreading awareness of the disease in Russia. She has also been a public critic of former U.S. President George W. Bush, once calling his administration, "a self-serving regime of deceit, hypocrisy and belligerence," and has been a fervent human rights supporter of the Buddhist monks in Nepal. In the early 1990s, she fostered a child with disabilities from Romania. According to Box Office Mojo, thirty-one of Lange's feature films have grossed a total of approximately $1 billion worldwide with an average of $33.74 million per title! Lange is one of the most celebrated actresses of the modern era. I just realised that she has one of the best biographies I've read so far..What an amazing woman! Three members had her name on their lists!

I have watched a few of her movies so far : King Kong (I watched this movie a lot of times when I was kid/ One of my favourite movies that era/ It was quite scary in some parts), Tootsie (Very funny movie but I have to watch it again) and Cape Fear (One of the best psychological thriller of that year, with intirguing script and nice performances).

I would suggest you to watch "King Kong" because it's a cult film, 'Tootsie" because you will laugh a lot with the characters and the story and "Cape Fear" because Martin Scorsese always makes decent movies. I think that Lange's movies will be my first priority in the next year.

Kirsten Dunst

http://adventureamigos.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Kirsten-Dunst-kirsten-dunst-221948_1024_768.jpg

I think that she could be a great model based on her photos. She is gorgeous in every of them. However, Kirsten is not a dull personality like the majority of the models, so we are lucky to watch her in movies than on catwalks. I had a conversation with a friend about her three months ago. I believed that she was a sour woman - in contrast to my friend - but I changed my mind about her when I saw some of her interviews. I would say that she is quite nice. She has a wide varitey of roles and she has played in many movies so far! She is a German American actress, singer, model and director. She made her film debut in Woody Allen's short film "Oedipus Wrecks" for the anthology film "New York Stories" (1989). At the age of twelve, Dunst gained widespread recognition playing the role of vampire Claudia in "Interview with the Vampire" (1994), a performance for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Best Supporting Actress". Dunst achieved international fame for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy. She won the "Best Actress Award" at the Cannes Film Festival and the Saturn Award for "Best Actress" for her performance in Lars von Trier's "Melancholia" (2011). In 2001, Dunst made her singing debut in the film "Get Over It", in which she performed two songs. She also sang the jazz song "After You've Gone" for the end credits of the film "The Cat's Meow" (2001). She gained German citizenship in 2011 and now holds dual citizenship of Germany and the United States. Five members voted this amazing actress!!

I have watched many of her movies so far : Jumanji (Nice movie, great visual and sound effects, exciting story), The Virgin Suicides (Intriguing story with nice performances), Bring It On (I enjoyed it a lot but it was very childish/The ultimate movie about cheerleaders), Crazy/Beautiful (Very nice romantic movie, I liked her performance/she had great chemistry with the leading actor), Spider-Man (Amazing visual effects, it had elaborate editing), Mona Lisa Smile (Decent movie but the script had a lot of cliches/The cast was great though), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Interesting script with nice performances/I loved the main concept) Spider-Man 2 (The bad character was a little bit ridiculous for me but the movie was quite good/However, it was my least favourite of the trilogy), Wimbledon (I enjoyed this movie although I'm not the biggest fan of tennis/ However, it's a little bit forgettable), Elizabethtown (It's not a great movie but it's not bad either/ It was quite boring in some parts), Marie Antoinette (I thought that I would watch a decent movie about this controversial character of history but it was full of modern songs/ I didn't like this kind of concept), Spider-Man 3 (It was the most impressive Spider-Man movie), Melancholia (The cinematography was simply great but the content was heaviness/I wanted to escape from the cinema) and The Two Faces of January (The photography was great and it had beautiful shots. However, the plot wasn't so exciting as I thought that it would be..).

I would suggest you to watch "Jumanji" because it was one of the best fantasy adveture movies of 90's, "The Virgin Suicides" because it was sentimental story with many social meanings, "Crazy/Beautiful" for the fans of romantic stories, "Spider-Man" because it was a great adaptation of the comic, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' for the fans of alternative/weird movies, "Spider-Man 2" for the fans of superhero movies, "Spider-Man 3" because it was the most impressive movie of the trilogy and 'Melancholia" for the fans of art films. I think that they will adore it.

Meh I don't like her a whole lot much except of Jimanji which was outstanding. The Spirder-mans with her in it are amazing but more due to the interesting plots and acting from Tobey Maguire.

Right coz I haven't been online for a while, but all the actress's that I haven't commented on, I'm gonna comment in different posts instead of all in one

Glenn Close = A fantastic actress that I have admired for many many years and always brings amazing performances to everything that she's in, "Jagged Edge" (A great tense thriller, from the opening POV shot of the murder, to Glenn's scenes in the courtroom alongside Jeff Bridges, amazing chemistry between both and does keep you guessing until the end, not over the top, just great tension), "Fatal Attraction" (definitely one of her best performances, great movie she didn't ham it up and that could have easily happened, but gladly didn't, plus loved the bathtub scene), "Dangerous Liaisons" (Another great movie, loved the costumes and the bitching her and John Malkovich are riveting together), "Immediate Family" (Not one of her best, but she saves it with a fantastic performance), "Something About Amelia" (heartbreaking TV movie that should be more remembered, very upsetting, but brilliant performances all round), "The House Of Spirits" (underrated, such a great cast and a very convining turn from Glenn Close), "Mars Attacks" (Okay movie, quite funny and loved the chandelier falling on Glenn's head scene, just hilarious), "101 Dalmations" (Excellent remake of a classic Disney cartoon, Glenn totally stole the show), "Air Force One" (great 90's action thriller, Harrison Ford on top of his game and great cast), "102 Dalmations" (nowhere near as good as the first one, but okay), "Le Divorce" (awful and dull), "The Stepford Wives" (stick to the original), "Albert Nobbs" (Her best performance in years). Plus her TV work is just as brilliant especially in Damages and The Shield.

Amy Poehler = Not all that familiar with her, never seen SNL, but have seen a couple of her movies = "Wet Hot American Summer" (quite funny), "Mean Girls" (great teen movie that opened a lot of doors for it's cast and plus Amy as the mother was really funny), "Envy" (awful and unfunny and further downhill for the careers of Jack Black and Rachel Weisz, plus don't really remember Amy all that much, but doesn't matter the movie was terrible and stupid), "Blades Of Glory" (good comedy but hasn't aged well and Amy was really funny in this), "Shrek The Third" (nowhere near as good as the first 2, very weak sequel), "Baby Mama" (a great part for her and she and Tina Fey are brilliant together).

Emma Watson = A great actress with a bright future ahead of her, but at the moment I've only seen her in the Harry Potter movies, where she's fantastic in all and The Perks Of Being A Walflower where she puts in another great performance, can't wait to see what she's got coming in the future, definitely someone to look out for.

Julie Andrews = A wonderful and brilliant actress who I enjoyed as a kid and have seen many of her movies and she's always great as always = "Mary Poppins" (Always loved this, ever since I was a kid, Julie's wonderful in this in everyway, just a classic that will always have a place in my heart), "The Sound Of Music" (Again enjoyable, another iconic classic that will forever be loved by every generation), "Torn Curtain" (classic Hitchcock, great classic thriller and a very different role for Julie, where she shows that she can act outside of children's movies), "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (great movie, not quite the classic status of MP and SOM, but still good), "10" (great movie, very funny and Julie's great in a supporting role, totally loveable), "Victor/Victoria" (brilliant performance), S.O.B. (decent movie and plus Julie's scenes are amazing and again steals the show), "The Princess Diaries" (a great comeback for her and really good movie, very enjoyable), "Shrek 2" (great voice work), "The Princess Diaries 2" (okay sequel, but totally unnessesary), "Despicable Me" (great animation, just awesome).

Natalie Portman = Another actress that I admire with such great performances and have seen a lot of her movies through the years = "Leon" (a great start to her career, just a brilliant movie and great action, just entertaining), "Heat" (another great movie, plus De Niro and Pacino, just doesn't get any better), "Beautiful Girls" (an okay movie, just nice drama), "Mars Attacks" (very good, quite funny), "Star Wars - Phantom Menace" (nowhere near as good as the original 3, but this is probably best out of the prequels), "Anywhere But Here" (nice drama, her and Susan Sarandon are fantastic together), "Where The Heart Is" (good drama, quite heartwarming), "Star Wars - Attack Of The Clones" (definitely the worst out of the bunch), "Cold Mountain" (good drama), "Closer" (totally steals the show in other wise a dull movie), "Star Wars - Revenge Of The Sith" (an adequate ending to an otherwise terrible trilogy), "V for Vendetta" (quite decent tense thriller), "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium" (not very good, just weak), "The Other Boleyn Girl" (okay nothing special), "Black Swan" (brilliant, well deserved Oscar, just kept me hooked all the way through), "No Strings Attached" (typical run of the mill Hollywood romantic comedy), "Your Highness" (terrible and not funny), "Thor" (great superhero, adventure)

Are you okay? I was really worried about you because you had a long time to connect in Buzzjack. I guess that you were busy with personal things (work, studies etc) that's why you weren't here. I hope it wasn't something serious though. I really missed your posts here. Actress Rate Results totally need you.. ^_^ Have you watched any movies lately?

*1 I don't remember the bathtub scene but I remember the scene with rabbit.. What a bitch..

*2 I watched the movie but I don't remember that scene. I should be worried about my memory problems.. :P

*1 The soundtrack was awesome though..Breakaway

*2 I couldn't help but wonder why they praised so much this movie..I feel that critics love to waste their time with boring stories..

*3 I think that V for Vendetta was a genius movie. It should be in every positive movie list.

*4 I believe that it was an underrated movie. It should have been nominated for an Oscar. The performances were so emotional and the characters remind me of ancient Greek tragedy. However, our economy is our current tragedy..:kink:

Glenn Close

http://famesurgery.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Glenn-Close.jpg

What an amazing actress!!! Glenn Close hasn't won any Academy Award yet, although she deserved a lot of them..She is an American film, television and stage actress. Her first film role was in "The World According to Garp" (1982) which she followed up with supporting roles in "The Big Chill" (1983), and "The Natural" (1984); all three earned her nominations for the Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress". She would later receive nominations for the Academy Award for "Best Actress" for her performances in Fatal Attraction (1987), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), and Albert Nobbs (2011). Throughout her long and varied career, she has been consistently acclaimed for her versatility and is considered by many to be one of the greatest actresses of all time (l totally agree..). She has won three Emmy Awards and three Tony Awards. Close is a six-time Academy Award nominee, tying the record for being the actress with the most nominations never to have won (along with Deborah Kerr and Thelma Ritter). She has also been nominated three times for a Grammy Award and once for a BAFTA. Three members appreciate her acting and they voted her (One of them was me)!

I have watched some of her movies so far : Fatal Attraction (She was great there, she deserved the Golden Statuette but..), The House of The Spirits (Intriguing script, very good plot, great performances, plus Meryl Streep & Glenn Close), Mars Attacks! (Quite funny movie), 101 Dalmatians (She was perfect as Cruella de Vil), Le Divorce (forgettable), The Stepford Wives (A little bit disappointing), Nine Lives (I really like this movie, interesting script with unpredictable ending), Albert Nobbs (Charismatic performances, interesting script) and Guardians of the Galaxy (One of the most exciting movies this year!).

I would suggest you to watch "Fatal Attraction" because it's one of the best movies of the 80's, "The House of The Spirits" because the cast is amazing and the story has something to say, "101 Dalmatians" because it was one of the best adaptation in 90's, "Nine Lives" because it has mystery and suspense, "Albert Nobbs" because Glenn was incredible with her role and the story is quite unusual and "Guardians of the Galaxy" because it's one of the most pleasant movies this year! I'm sure that you will enjoy it a lot.

Amy Poehler

http://images.lifeandstylemag.com/uploads/posts/image/31908/amy-poehler-taylor-swift-hell.jpg

The truth is that I don't know anything about Amy Poehler. When I saw her name in this rate, I tried to remember who she could be..Maybe Americans and British are more connected with her in comparison with people who live in other countries. Amy Poehler is an American actress, comedian, voice artist, producer and writer. Her father is of German, Irish, Portuguese, and English ancestry, and her mother is of Irish descent. Poehler was raised in the Catholic faith. Her first film role was in "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" (1999). She was a cast member on the NBC television show Saturday Night Live from 2001 to 2008. In 2004, she became the co-anchor of the Weekend Update sketch along with her friend and colleague Tina Fey. Poehler's work on SNL earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series". Since 2009, she has starred as Leslie Knope in the sitcom "Parks and Recreation", for which she has received five consecutive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series", and three consecutive Golden Globe nominations for "Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy Series", with one win in 2014. Three members had her name on their lsits.

I have watched only two of her movies so far : Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (Funny but ridiculous too) and Mean Girls (Very funny).

I would suggest you to watch "Mean Girls" but I'm sure that you have already watched it a couple of times. However, I think that she is too high in this rate based on her poor filmography..

Kirsten Dunst is hugely underrated actress. She's actually been in a huge collection of great films.

Little Women, Interview with the Vampire, Jumanji as a child.

But then she's also had Dick, The Virgin Suicides, Bring It On, Crazy/ Beautiful, Spider-Man, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Marie Antoinette, Melancholia, The Two Faces of January.

Not forgetting my personal favourite. 'Get Over It' :P

Lol..I need to watch some of her series. I really like comedies. I watched so many drama this year. I will be depressive if I continue to watch social movies in the cinema.

I think that she is not highly underrated. She won the "Best Actress Award" at the Cannes Film Festival three years ago. I think that it's a great honour to be recognised from this festival. However, I feel that many people followed her when she played in teen movies although her latter films were good/decent.

Angelina Jolie

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.mydaily.co.uk/media/2012/02/angelina-jolie-oscars-2012.jpg

Angelna Jolie is one of the most beautiful/attractive women on this planet! She is very talented and she has a great personality too. Angelina is definitely one of the most interesting characters in showbiz. Her biography is so intriguing and I don't know what to choose about her.. :). She was born in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of married actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Her godparents are actors Jacqueline Bisset and Maximilian Schell. When she was seven years old, Jolie had a small part in "Lookin' to Get Out" (1982) a movie co-written by and starring her father, Jon Voight . At age 14, Jolie dropped out of her acting classes. She aspired to become a funeral director. She began working as a fashion model, mainly in Los Angeles, New York, and London. She appeared in five of her brother's student films, made while he attended the USC School of Cinema-Television. She also appeared in several music videos, namely Lenny Kravitz's "Stand by My Woman" (1991), Antonello Venditti's version of Crowded House's hit "Don't Dream It's Over", "Alta Marea" (1991) The Lemonheads's "It's About Time" (1993) and Meat Loaf's "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" (1993). Jolie began her professional film career in 1993, when she played her first leading role in the low-budget, straight-to-video, science-fiction sequel "Cyborg 2", as Casella "Cash" Reese, a near-human robot. She was so disappointed with the film that she did not audition again for a year. Jolie's career prospects began to improve after she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in "TNT's George Wallace" (1997). The film was very well received by critics and won, among other awards, the Golden Globe Award for "Best Miniseries or Television Film". Jolie received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance. In 1998, Jolie starred in HBO's "Gia", portraying supermodel Gia Carangi. For the second consecutive year, Jolie won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award. She also won her first Screen Actors Guild Award! After "Gia" wrapped in 1997, Jolie announced that she had given up acting for good, because she felt that she had "nothing else to give. She won her third Golden Globe Award, her second Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Academy Award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in "Girl, Interrupted" (1999). Although highly regarded for her acting abilities, Jolie had not found films that appealed to wide audiences, but "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (2001) made her an international superstar. Jolie reprised her role as Lara Croft in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). Jolie starred opposite Brad Pitt in the 2005 action-comedy "Mr. & Mrs. Smith". In 2007, Jolie made her directorial debut with the documentary "A Place in Time", which captures daily life in 27 locations around the world during a single week. Jolie took on the lead role in Clint Eastwood's drama "Changeling" in 2008. Jolie received nominations for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a BAFTA Award!!! In 2011, Jolie made her directorial feature debut with In the "Land of Blood and Honey". After a three-and-a-half-year absence from the screen, Jolie starred in the film "Maleficent" (2014). "Maleficient" went on to gross over $757 million worldwide, becoming Jolie's highest-grossing film!!! As of July 2014, Jolie has completed work on her second directorial venture, "Unbroken". Angelina is also famous for her humanitarian work. She was named a "UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador" at UNHCR headquarters in Geneva on August 27, 2001. In August 2002, she received the inaugural Humanitarian Award from the "Church World Service's" Immigration and Refugee Program, and in October 2003, she was the first recipient of the "Citizen of the World Award" by the "United Nations Correspondents Association". She was awarded the Global Humanitarian Award by the "UNA-USA" in October 2005, and she received the "Freedom Award" by the "International Rescue Committee" in November 2007. In October 2011, UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres presented Jolie with a gold pin reserved for the most long-serving staff, in recognition of her decade as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. On April 17, 2012, after more than a decade of service as a "UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador", she was promoted to the rank of "Special Envoy" to High Commissioner António Guterres, the first to take on such a position within the organization. In November 2013, Jolie received the "Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award", an honorary Academy Award, from the Board of Governors of the "Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences". Jolie is now married to actor Brad Pitt. They have six children, three of whom are adopted!! Five members voted this incredible woman! One of them gave her 10 points!

I have watched many of her movies so far : Hackers (I watched this movie with my old friends but I don't remember many details about it. It wasn't bad though because the plot was interesting/I need to watch this again), The Bone Collector (I watched this movie in the cinema and I really liked it. There was tension and mystery. Movies with serial killers are always intriguing to me), Girl, Interrupted (Very good movie with nice performances), Gone in 60 Seconds (Nice action film but a little bit forgettable), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (I don't like it so much because I expected something better. It wasn't so exciting), Original Sin (Watchable but a little bit forgettable), Life or Something Like It (Good movie), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (I think that it was much better than the first film. I really enjoyed it/ The visual effects were impressive), Beyond Borders (I liked this movie although it was full of cliches. However, it was full of social messages), Taking Lives (One of my favourite movies that year/ She had chemistry with Ethan Hawke), Shark Tale (It had fun but it was not great as animation), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (I didn't like it because it seemed so fake), Alexander (Alexander deserved to have a better movie/ Many people criticised it in my country so I had low expectations. However, it wasn't bad), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (So Brangelina, So Hollywood), A Mightey Heart (It was a decent film), Beowulf (I really liked this version/computer-animated), Kung Fu Panda (I loved this animation, it was very funny), Wanted (The plot was intriguing but I don't remember it at all), Changeling (One of the best movies that year/Her performance was very good/Absorbing film), Salt (Disappointing film. It had a lot of silly scenes like Charlie's Angels/Waste of time), The Tourist (It wasn't one of her best films/We laughed a lot with the story, but in a bad way) and Maleficent (She was great as Maleficent and the story was quite good/The visual and the sound effects were impressive/It had also great photography and beautiful shots).

I would suggest you to watch "The Bone Collector" because it's a nice thriller, "Girl, Interrupted" because Angelina gave one of her best performances, "Taking Lives" because it has tension, suspense and mystery, "Beowulf" if you like computer animated films, "Kung Fu Panda" if you like animations with funny characters, "Changeling" because it's based on a true story and it's a really good movie and "Maleficent" because it's one of the best dark fantasy films.

Wow thanks Insomnio, my laptap crashed and had no internet, so that's why I haven't been on here for a while.

Helen Mirren = Just fantastic in every way and still stunning for her age and have enjoyed many many of her performances through the years = "Caligua" (a mad movie, cult classic and plus Helen looks absolutely stunning in this), "The Long Good Friday" (fantastic movie, I remember watching her documentary where she said she didn't like the part originally so she re-wrote it, and done a bang up job, her and Bob Hoskins were amazing together), "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife Her Lover" (totally strange and weird, very colourful and good story), "Prime Suspect" (Fantastic TV series that made her a household name, excellent performance, just great), "Teaching Mrs Tingle" (not very good film, but Helen was the only highlight in this rubbish), "Gosford Park" (great costume drama murder mystery), "Calendar Girls" (great comedy and great performances), "Raising Helen" (bland and complete rip of Baby Boom), "Shadowboxer" (great thriller, good action), "The Queen" (fantastic role for her, she nailed it and well deserved Oscar, "National Treasure - Book Of Secrets" (okay, but way too generic), RED (great cast, great action, Helen stole every scene), "Arthur" (stick to the original), "RED 2" (good sequel), "Hitchcock" (great role for her)

Emma Stone = A good actress and have seen many of her movies = "Superbad" (great fun teen comedy), "The House Bunny" (quite good, very funny), "Ghosts Of Girlfriend's Past" (awful and bland), "Zombieland" (okay nothing special), "Easy A" (definitely her best part, from what I've seen and good amount of intelligence to it), "Crazy Stupid Love" (good movie, good performances and great cast), "The Help" (good drama, good storyline), "The Amazing Spiderman" (very enjoyable prefer this to Spiderman 3), "The Amazing Spiderman 2" (decent sequel, but could have been better, plus tragic ending, so sad)

Would have liked Angelina to be a bit higher than that, I absolutely adore her. I think that people do tend to overlook her when it comes to her acting ability. She's really extremely talented. Most folk probably don't know that she is an Oscar winner.

She's a great action star, and Mr and Mrs Smith is one of my guilty pleasures, but she's a brilliant dramatic actress. Changeling is a stunning performance and Girl, Interrupted is just superb.

The good work she does speaks for itself though. She's really an amazing person.

Anna Faris = A very funny actress, whose great in comedies = "Lovers Lane" (Remember watching this years ago, then saw it again when Anna became famous and to be honest didn't remember her all that much, just basic standard 90's slasher, she was the blonde cheerleader who gets a nasty death), "Scary Movie" (great spoof, one of the best, awesome and very funny), "Scary Movie 2" (nowhere near as good as the 1st but better than the follow ups), "May" (good creepy horror, Anna was really good in his as the quirky lesbian whose fascinated with May), "The Hot Chick" (okay but not great), "Scary Movie 3" (quite funny, but wears thin after the 2nd viewing), "Just Friends" (standard Ryan Reynolds rom com, but Anna was really funny in this), "Scary Movie 4" (stale and pointless), "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" (okay in parts but falls apart in other places), "The House Bunny" (quite decent, Anna's really good in a leading role), "Movie 43" (actually liked this, quite funny), "What's Your Number" (awful), "I Give It A Year" (quite enjoyable, some funny bits, but becomes way too predictable at the end).

Jessica Lange = A brilliant actress who I started taking notice again because of the amazing "American Horror Story" series, but the movies I've seen of hers are = "King Kong 1976" (an okay remake, pretty decent and plus Jessica was breathtaking), "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (great drama and fantastic performances), "Tootsie" (fantastic classic comedy), "Cape Fear" (great thriller, keeps you hooked all the way through and fantastic turns from all the leads), "Losing Issiah" (really heartbreaking and moving), "Rob Roy" (saw this many years ago and was quite decent), "Hush" (really good thriller, Jessica's good at being crazy). "American Horror Story Series 1" (Jessica was fantastic as the unhinged neighbour, totally well deserved award win and plus fantastic story). American Horror Story Series 2 (Jessica again fantastic as the sadistic nun, who gets her just desserts, but has a way of making you feel for her), American Horror Story Series 3 (Loved her as the supreme witch whose about to come to an end, and trying to strike down the new upcoming supreme, she really owned this series) and American Horror Story Series 4 (Love her German accent in this one and plus her musical numbers are quite fun).

Angelina Jolie has a large fanbase worldwide. She is one of the most popular actresses in my country too. I Maybe, new generations don't know that she is an Oscar winner. I feel that her filmography hasn't many good films in comparison with other actresses. However, her biography is one of the best and her humanitarian work is notable! This world needs personalities/characters like Angelina.

"Changeling" is her best movie so far. Clint Eastwood knows how to make amazing movies.

Marion Cotillard

http://mr.comingsoon.it/imgdb/persone/21977.jpg

She is my favourite french actress ever! Marion is a very talented woman. Her performances are usually exceptional and I love many of her filmsl! She totally deserves to be in the Top 15 and I'm very glad that members voted her! She was born in Paris, and grew up around Orléans, Loire. After small appearances and performances in theater, she had occasional and minor roles in television series such as "Highlander", but her career as a film actress began in the mid-1990s with small but noticeable roles in such films as "Chloe" in 1996. In 1998, she starred in Gérard Pirès' action comedy Taxi. She reprised the role in two sequels: "Taxi 2" and "Taxi 3". In 2003, Cotillard had a notable supporting role in Tim Burton's film "Big Fish". She appeared in two critically acclaimed films, Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "A Very Long Engagement" (Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles) as Tina Lombardi, for which she won a César Award for "Best Supporting Actress", and appeared in the mystery thriller "Innocence". However, her most recognisable role was the French singer Édith Piaf in the biopic "La Vie en Rose". Director Olivier Dahan said that he noticed a similarity between Piaf's and Cotillard's eyes. At the Berlin International Film Festival, where the film premiered, Cotillard was given a 15-minute standing ovation. On 10 February 2008, she became the first French actress to be awarded the BAFTA Award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" since Stéphane Audran in 1973! She is the first actress to win a Golden Globe for a foreign language performance since 1972, when Liv Ullmann won for The Emigrants. She is also the first person to win a (Comedy or Musical) Golden Globe for a foreign language performance! On 22 February 2008, she was awarded the César Award for Best Actress for her role in "La Vie en Rose". Two days later, on 24 February 2008 at the Academy Awards, she won "Best Actress", becoming the first woman and second person (after Adrien Brody, The Pianist) to win both a "César" and an "Oscar" for the same performance! She is the second French cinema actress to win this award and the third overall to receive an Academy Award. She is the first Best Actress winner in a non-English language performance since Sophia Loren's win in 1961. Cotillard is also the first and so far only winner of an Academy Award for a performance in the French language! In 2011, she appeared in "Inception" and "Midnight in Paris". In 2012, Cotillard appeared in Christopher Nolan's film "The Dark Knight Rises". She next starred in "Rust and Bone" (De rouille et d'os) alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, for which she received rave reviews for her performance and won the following awards: the Globe de Cristal Award, Étoile d'Or Award, Sant Jordi Award, Irish Film & Television Award and the Hawaii International Film Festival Award for Best Actress and received a fifth César Award nomination, a fourth Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, a third Golden Globe nomination (her first nomination for Best Actress - Drama), a second Critics' Choice Award nomination and a second Lumiere Award nomination! The film premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and received a ten-minute standing ovation at the end of its screening. In 2014, she played the lead character in "Two Days, One Night". The film premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and Cotillard's performance was unanimously praised by critics, earned a 15 minute standing ovation and was named "the best performance of the festival". In 2014, Cotillard was named "The Most Bankable French Actress of the 21st Century". Her films have sold more than 37 million tickets in France from 2001 to 2014. In addition to her film work, Marion is interested in environmental activism, and has participated in campaigns for environmental protection, in particular Greenpeace, for whom she has acted as a spokesperson. Since October 2007, Cotillard is in a relationship with French actor and director Guillaume Canet. They have one child. Five members had her name on theirs lists (One of them was me).

I have watched some of her movies so far : Love Me If You Dare (One of my favourite movies ever! Great performances /exciting plot/ It's one of the best stories for the fans of romantic movies), Big Fish (I enjoyed this movie, Tim Burton directed an amazing movie, the shots were incredible), A Very Long Engagement (Great movie with great performances / I totally loved this movie / It had something epic), La Vie en Rose (Great performance about a great singer), Public Enemies (I didn't like the directing. It was boring and slow. Disappointing result), Nine (It's not my favourite musical but it was quite good in some parts), Inception (Amazing visual and sound effects, the directing was awesome and the performanes were very good. I loved the soundtrack. However, it was quite tiring in some parts), Midnight in Paris (One of my favourite movies that year, nice performances / Clever scipt with funny dialogues) Contagion (Very good movie/The cast was amazing / Intriguing script), Rust and Bone (It was one of my favourite movies that year, her performance was great and the story was very sentimental), The Dark Knight Rises (One of my favourite action movies ever! The visual and sound effects were stunning. I was so impressed with the result. I loved the soundtrack too), The Immigrant (The performances were good but the film was full of cliches. I felt that Marion shouldn't choose this role) and Two Days, One Night (Intriguing story/Great performance by Marion/Full of social messages).

I would suggest you to watch "Love Me If You Dare" because I'm sure that you will love it (trust me), "Big Fish" because it was one of the most enjoyable movies in the last decade, "A Very Long Engagement" because it was one of the best movies of 2004, "La Vie En Rose" because her performance was brilliant, "Inception" because it was visually stunning, "Midnight in Paris" because Woody Allen is a genius writer and director, "Contagion" because it's an interesting film about the rapid spread of a virus, "Rust and Bone" because it's one of the best European films of this decade, "The Dark Knight Rises" because it's one of the most epic films about a superhero and "Two Days, One Night" because it's one of the best films this year.

Tilda Swinton

http://www.hancinema.net/photos/fullsizephoto275170.jpg

Tilda Swinton is a very talented actress! Ι haven't watched many of her movies yet. However, I respect this woman because she managed to be famous only with her acting! That says it all. Tilda Swinton was born in London. In 1983, she graduated from New Hall at Cambridge University with a degree in social and political sciences. She worked with the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, starring in Mann ist Mann by Manfred Karge, and the Royal Shakespeare Company, before embarking on a career in film in the mid-1980s. In 1988 she was a member of the jury at the 38th Berlin International Film Festival. Her early film work included several film roles for director Derek Jarman, notably "War Requiem" (1989). In 1991, Swinton won the Volpi Cup Best Actress award for her role in the postmodern film "Edward II". Swinton also played the title role in "Orlando", Sally Potter's film version of the novel by Virginia Woolf. The part allowed Swinton to explore matters of gender presentation onscreen which reflected her lifelong interest in androgynous style. Swinton later reflected on the role in an interview accompanied by a striking photoshoot. She said that "People talk about androgyny in all sorts of dull ways," noting that the recent rerelease of Orlando had her thinking again about its pliancy. Recent years have seen Swinton move towards more mainstream projects, including the leading role in "The Deep End" (2001). For this performance she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Swinton appeared as a supporting character in the films "The Beach" (2000), "Vanilla Sky" (2001), as the archangel Gabriel in "Constantine" (2005). She has also appeared in the British films "The Statement" (2003) and "Young Adam" (2003), and sat on the jury of the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. In 2005, Swinton performed as the White Witch Jadis, in the film version of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". In 2007, Swinton's performance in "Michael Clayton" earned her both a BAFTA award for "Best Supporting Actress" as well as the Oscar for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role" at the 2008 80th Academy Awards, the film's sole win. She starred in the film adaptation of the novel "We Need to Talk about Kevin", released in October 2011. Four members have her name on their lists.

I have watched a few of her movies so far : Vanilla Sky (Intriguing script, very special movie), Adaptation (Nice performances but it was quite overrated), Constantine (Quite disappointing), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Very nice story, great visual and sound effects), Moonrise Kingdom (It has some funny scenes and the script was quite good. The directing was very unique) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (Funny performances, nice story, great cinematography, superb photography and the directing was awesome).

I would suggest you to watch "Vanilla Sky" because its story is very unique and its plot is exciting, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" because it was one best fantasy adventure films in the last decade, "Moonrise Kingdom" because it's a very entertaining movie with funny characters and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" because it's one of the best movies of this year.
