July 19, 201410 yr I've got my top 10, but I could easily vote for 4 others I'm going to bang them out again tomorrow to see what sticks. At the moment, my top 2 keep on switching places. :P And that Armenian Girl is kinda catchy in places, but still sounds naff, mind you she has got nice pins. :D

July 19, 201410 yr So much support for Aeroche everywhere (in this forum, in personal charts) from people with all sorts of different musical tastes, and deservedly so, but nobody else thinks it will win? It seems like a dead cert to me...

Not that they will, BUT THEY STILL NEED TO. :cheer: My semi votes are surprisingly different to my final votes, shows how many songs get boring quickly. Really not understanding the love for Bullit. :puke: There are a good 20 songs I'd be willing to give points to so it was very hard, Semi 2 still clearly the best though. :wub:
July 19, 201410 yr I've taken on Aeroche once before. It didn't end well. I even ended up behind Ramrynia. :cry: A third consecutive top 10 would be a lovely treat though after I entered this with low expectations, and I always love any vocal support. Callum, you can do this every contest from now on, yeah? :P Oh yeah, I need to think about voting in this. Will do that soon.
July 19, 201410 yr Aeroche definitely have a good shot at winning and possibly could do it by a large margin but I really can't get past the feeling Lilit is going to be 12ed to victory. I don't see any other than those 2 challenging. I am surprised at people thinking 'Bullit' is irritating - it strikes me as something too nothingy to evoke any strong reaction either way. :kink:
July 19, 201410 yr I think Beautiful will not only 12 its way to victory (with at least 5 or 6 top marks based on the hype and love for it around the forum that I've seen so far), but pick up a healthy amount of other points across the board too. Where are all of Armenian Girl's 12's going to come from? It's only in a couple of personal charts and below other entries in both of those. Not trying to put it down by the way, I do think it's a really good entry, very different and standout, but it doesn't strike me as a runaway winner or anything. I could definitely see how the flute/horn combo in Bullit could annoy people, it sort of annoyed me on the first listen but I've grown to love it over time somehow!

That would be by definition not '12ing its way to victory'. By that I mean stuff like Lana Del Rey and RuPaul which are not necessarily the most wide appealing songs in the contest but get big scores from a lot of countries which allow them to overcome the rest of the competition anyway. And I don't know specifically where Allecian would get 12s from, I just get the feeling it probably will. Or failing that it'll pick up loads of 8s and 10s (and not a great deal of lower points than that). Personal charts don't always tell the full story, there are plenty of participants who don't do them. e.g. 152chris doesn't do a personal chart to my knowledge but will probably vote Lilit highly based on his recent posts.

True, so in fact it's got a much better shot at winning by the fact that it's almost guaranteed all those 12's and then some! Hmm...a lot of the pop fans have come out as actively disliking it, and surely that's the song's core audience? Although I get that it's in Leww/Seven's charts so it's obviously got wider appeal, but I can't see the likes of Grebo, Dandy*, Zechh and Doctor Blind coming out in force to support it! Anyway, we'll see what happens!
July 19, 201410 yr i can see a lot of people not voting for 'beautiful' as well though (especially the four you mentioned!) as i get that sort of candy-rave sound can grate on people so it just depends at the end of the day how the people who ain't speaking vote that's the main reason i think ethanola could go all the way.
