Although I'm sad, can't say I'm too disheartened that he's gone. He was so bloody useless! I was rooting for him to actually survive and just become the badass he should have been. But what a beautifully directed episode that was!

Good episode, although it felt more like mid-season episode than a premiere.

Disappointed Tyreese is dead, I liked the guy, and I thought it was great the show having so many black actors. Was good to see so many old faces back in the hallucination sequences.

At first I thought they were mourning Beth, at the beginning. Sad to see Tyrese go, but I felt the character was not going anywhere. Overall great episode. I think I know where its heading.

Well I'm going to just say what I believe at the risk (well to be honest - every chance on here on the easily pleased BJ) of being called someone who 'doesn't appreciate slow, character building episodes'. This episode was pure 100% filler and a pile of crap to be honest. It comes to something when the best thing about it that I can say is that Beth's singing had improved. Tyreese (for the TV series) was an absolute WASTE of time. I actually mourn the loss of T-Dog just so that this boring character could surface.

Given up on it. Not worth wasting another hour of my time. I'm a huge Norman Reedus fan - but nothing could make me want to waste any more time of my diminishing years on this crap.

It was nice to see David Morrissey again though!

As an episode it was "good", but that's all to me. LOVED seeing the other characters back as a part of him hallucinating and I loved the direction of the episode (extremely beautifully shot), it's just that Tyreese really wasn't my favourite at all (and nor was he even NEAR) so I just wasn't as invested in this particular episode as I should have been. He had some good moments, but that's all in comparison to everyone else. I felt his character was just being dragged out! Really wanted him to pull through though and be the badass that I've heard so much about from the comics, but nope.

I enjoyed the episode for what it was. There was a different feel to this episode compared to usual, in the way it was shot. It was an interesting technique at the beginning with the unconnected shots, leading us to believe that they were at Beth's funeral.

I'm ready for the rest of the season, with Michonne pushing for them to consider going to Washington after all.

Season 5 has been fantastic so far imo. I much prefer when they're out on the road and not feeling too safe, than when they're at a location in relative safety for a long stretch of time (Hershall's farm / the prison). Season 2 really dragged on in particular. I feel like if all of us could make it through Season 2 then we should be able to stick with this show for its entire run. :kink:

I kind of liked the episode. It wasn't anything spectacular but the direction was great, as Jonjo said, and it felt really dark and emotional at times, which is a good thing. The series has had much worse episodes, that's for sure. I also liked how passionate Michonne was.

Can Glenn & Maggie finally get a kick-ass story now?

What I haven't been loving about the show is that each episode only focuses on a handful of the characters. I think that's what makes it feel so drawn out. You can go two/three episodes without seeing certain characters which can be annoying, especially if your favorites are the ones not being shown. They've been spending a lot of time on the more expendable characters (Beth, Tyreese, Abraham, Eugene) and have hardly shown Daryl, Carol, Glenn, Maggie, or Michonne as of late.

You know the episode was shit when the only thing people have to say about it is that it was "beautifully shot"

Sure it is important, but it doesn't make everything.

Episode 10 was pretty much the calm before the storm (in spite of a storm actually happening lol). Can't wait for next week!

Wasn't too fussed with that episode. The survivors pushing against the farm doors trying to keep the walkers out - it looked great, very edge of your seat stuff, but ultimately it was unbelievable (if we consider that there being zombies in the first place is realistic :P). Just the fact that this major storm had caused devastation like trees falling down, as well as the wind presumably being strong enough to make the walkers fall back / get impaled by trees, right next to the barn which remained totally undamaged? Hmm.

I half wondered whether that sequence had been a dream when Maggie(?) woke up, but it didn't seem like it. Plus after desperately pushing against the doors to keep a herd out, it seemed strange to me after that sort of experience they'd all feel comfortable to fall asleep far away from the doors.

Also I can't quite decide whether Rick's speech culminating with saying "we are the Walking Dead" was powerful or just cringey.

Barn still in one piece, while the trees around them, just fell in the storm

Anyhow that was a bit of a dull episode, but it did have some good moments.

I loved how this episode focussed on how the group were finally coping/dealing with exhaustion, grievances and things! Again, another episode in which I think would be better when viewed amongst several other episodes back to back, as opposed to waiting for a week. The guy at the end is intriguing. I wonder if he'll be a character from a group that we'll follow in this supposed spin off? I really hope he can be trusted as I'm getting a bit bored of having potential decent characters being untrustworthy etc..

The last ten minutes of the show was great! Really set it up nicely for next weeks episode!

EDIT: Oh look. Same old predictable "Jonjo loves this episode" post :heehee: I'M SORRY. THIS SHOW JUST HITS THAT SPOT FOR ME!

I agree that it was a welcome change to see the group dealing with actual issues, such as hunger and exhaustion, but for the life of me, I don't get how that baby is still healthy. Don't babies in general have very weak immune systems? It should have died from literally anything by now.

I thought this week's episode was better than last week's (although that doesn't say a lot really).

BIB - I actually giggled at the introduction of the chap at the end (Aaron?) I thought I'd dropped off for a minute or two and woken up at a 'Go Outdoors' advert! LOL

Yay, Alexandria! I haven't read that arc yet in the comics, so I have no clue what happens.

Yes! So glad Aaron seems like a good guy. I hope he gets a big part to play in the group! Things are picking up again and I'm loving it!
