August 5, 201410 yr Thing is, though, is that a #1 album could help sell tour tickets and encourage radio to play the lead single. It's like they don't even want *that* bit more success, they're content with just having *this* success.
August 5, 201410 yr we are forgetting that Pixie's album is a studio album with not well known songs whereas The Sats is a GH which will have appeal from previous successful singles, not just WAYWF
August 5, 201410 yr Though I agree with what Hurricane said, it doesn't make sense overall when you factor in the tour - Now THAT is a worry. I mean look at the ticket sales for Cardiff! Promoting the single and album would automatically sell tour tickets, which is where the money is at. The venues are expensive to rent out, so they need to sell those tour tickets.
August 5, 201410 yr I am VERY shocked at how the single is doing, I blame the radios! The reception was really good when it premiered on YouTube, Xenomania usually gets backed up and the instrumental is really good, the video is really good, the summer vibe is awesome and lastly, I thought the radios and general public would pick this up as the follow up to What About Us (being as it was their big summer hit last year). I have my fingers crossed that it will shoot up on the iTunes charts due to preorders then people browsing will listen, like and buy, the EP does help too.

'Not Giving Up's pre-orders suggested it would chart around #50 and it still managed #19. I think it all depends on whether they are going to promo the single now. They've literally done nothing prominent since premiering the single on R1, Kiss and Capital though, 5 weeks ago. Most artists would have done SOMETHING by now, for a lead single. Rizzle Kicks have been getting fine radio airplay, but still performed on the Alan Carr Summertime special - and it boosted their pre-orders loads. It's no way to handle a Greatest Hits campaign. August 5, 201410 yr I'm indeed starting to believe that the Greatest Hits album was only made so they could actually tour. Apparently, from what I read a long while ago on Popjustice from an insider, venues were apparently rent out really soon after LFTW as a tour for that album was indeed really in the plans. Again, they didn't expect the album to be such a flop, so they were kinda stuck with venues for a tour that wouldn't probably sell. I guess that's where the GH comes. Imma try to find the posts on Popjustice later this week.

August 5, 201410 yr But they aren't going to sell the tour with out promoting it through promoting the single and album. If they'd been doing some proper promo for the album over the past two weeks, I bet the tour would be close to selling out now. Surely it's important to sell the tour over anything else, that's where you can get the biggest losses, moneywise.
August 5, 201410 yr 199 FKA twigs LP1 301 The Gaslight Anthem Get Hurt (Deluxe Version) 620 The Saturdays Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits (Deluxe) I like her music, but I actually hate FKA Twigs for getting that banner a bit. Ha.
August 5, 201410 yr Well The Sats have been ahead of her for weeks so I'm not *too* bothered about her position. I'm more concerned about the fact The Sats are only at #620, whether their competition is doing well or not.
August 5, 201410 yr 686 The Saturdays What Are You Waiting For? POP - this needs to stop pis$ing around and enter the top 1,500, where it was meant to be 3 weeks ago.
August 5, 201410 yr 794 The Saturdays Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits (Deluxe) Shocked it's fallen so much the week before release to be honest :(

August 6, 201410 yr 905 The Saturdays Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits (Deluxe) :banghead: 641 The Saturdays What Are You Waiting For? - Not far from the proper 1,500 now. Not that it matters, the only thing that's going to give this a significant boost in pre-orders is The Lotto on Saturday night.
