August 5, 201411 yr Will comment a bigger post at a later date but my favourite 2 are fearless and battlefield from those 15. Taylor produced another amazing album and battlefield is a fantastic album in general but becomes one of my favourites ever also because of the title track

August 5, 201411 yr Author Me too  --- 15 Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill Regina rejoices. This is in fact the highest pre-00s album :o I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Alanis, but good god this is THE seminal angst album. So much bile perfectly spewed on one disc, especially on the album's pinnacle You Oughta Know - there's a reason the album's sales were so stratospheric. As well as angst, Alanis voice makes the track stunning and Hand In My Pocket is rather happy coming from a woman who growls "everytime I scratch my nails down someone else's back I hope you feel it" on the same album! 14 Rihanna - Loud The pinnacle of her career! Even with so many amazing albums, nothing has quite matched this. Home to the million selling Only Girl (In The World), one of her absolute best singles, this album boasts one of Ri's most underrated songs, Man Down. This is one of those albums where there isn't a single skippable track, but there is absolutely no shortage of highlights. 13 Florence & The Machine - Lungs There really seems to be an abundance of 2009 albums  This is one of the most of the less poppy in this countdown, and probably one of the more divinise voices too! Florence is known for her huge set of lungs (pun only slightly intended), which means her voice is labelled by some as shouty... Personally I love it, and her, especially this album which boasts some absolute anthems. Howl in particular really should have been a single :( 12 Marina & The Diamonds - Electra Heart Marina's second and final entry is the 2012 follow up to The Family Jewels. Much more pop than its predecessor, it attracted some criticism for being generic, although Marina seems to think it's only ironically that she's so pop. Despite being largely pop anthems like Primadonna and the amazing Bubblegum Bitch, this album also has the stunning tracks Teen Idle and Fear And Loathing, both among her best. This also gave her a UK #1 album, but sadly didn't sell too well :( 11 Duffy - Rockferry Just missing out on the top 10 is the 2008 debut from Welsh soul singer Duffy, which sold well over 1 million copies at the height of her fame. When this first came out, I bought it the day of release and I honestly don't think it left my CD player for months and months, honestly you have NO idea how hard I stanned this bitch  The hit single Mercy brought her to wide attention but, whilst it's one of the highlights, Duffy's voice truly shines on the album's ballads. Buzz release Rockferry opens the album in a truly striking fashion, whilst Distant Dreamer closes the standard edition epically, both songs showcasing the wonder of Duffy's voice. Whilst I'm revelling in the nostalgia of this amazing, classy album, I'm going to say as little as possible about the horror of the follow-up...
August 5, 201411 yr  ! I've always wanted to check out 'Jagged Little Pill' purely on the basis of 'Ironic' & 'You Outta Know'. Your review tempts me! A few albums there that I've never checked out before but with certain songs on them that I love!
August 5, 201411 yr Author You really must check out JLP <3 I'd say the singles are pretty much a good representation of the whole album and it's a good example of an album that's really cohesive but not so much so that all the songs blend into one.

Ooh that sounds like a brilliant combination and it is widely regarded as a classic too. Cheers Liam, definitely top of my 'must listen' list now <3 Edited August 6, 201411 yr by Jade
August 6, 201411 yr After HOH we all do :smoke: That gif *.* HOH was quite wonderful too tho, Between The Sheets >>>>> The musical disaster started when #NewRules premiered Loud and Electra Heart  both quite fabulous. Loud is Rih's best, I'm hoping for another Loud with #R8 Edited August 6, 201411 yr by *Tim
August 6, 201411 yr Loud is possibly Rihanna's best. The only good thing she's done since GGGB apart from half of Rated R. Rockferry is possibly my favourite album of all time. I was obsessed with her in 2008. I saw her live and never stopped listening to her music
August 6, 201411 yr Queen Alanis  much as I LOVE JLP, it's only 5th in terms of my fave albums by her :o I'd reveal the other 4 but it might spoil my own countdown :kink: OH and.... http://auto.img.v4.skyrock.net/7689/87347689/pics/3147856302_1_4_jDRF6QHU.gif http://i.imgur.com/sNO1H4G.gif

Loud is Rih's best, I'm hoping for another Loud with #R8 I hated the majority of songs, Fire and This Love Will Survive in particular were absolutely awful :( But #NewRules did make Heartbreak On Hold seem like Overcome!
