Starting to think top 5 should be back on for them, possibly higher. I think tour edition will give a big boost.

Hopefully they have a couple of album signings lined up at HMV.

I still #1 is possible for the album. Tour Edition could've shifted ~10k surely? Then another 10k of the album is possible to make 20k+. Ed Sheeran sold 33k to get #1 last week, but his sales a consistently dropping each week and should be around 20-25k by their release week.

Will the tour edition be counted in their 1st week?

Yes. That's how Steps managed to get a #1 album in 2012!

So many people will have bought the tour edition without realising, not sure it will equate to 10k though.

I don't think #1 is totally unreachable either. But I'm starting to think they'll be #3 or #4. It depends on their promo. Lotto is good, but they need a presence throughout the week.

I think the albums top 4 will be Sats, FKA, Gaslight and Ed. But I'm not sure about the order.

P.S Love your new sig, April.

I'm still confused as to what the tour edition is?

Me too, I guess it's the set that included the tour ticket?

That's what I thought but there has to be something else to it surely! B-)

Gaslight Anthem went to #2 with their last album but generally don't have much chart success here as they're an American rock band. I could see it being pretty close between them and The Sats, especially if The Sats have promo lined up.
Part of the reason FKA and Gaslight are so high in the charts on iTunes is because both albums have 3 instant grats each. The Sats should make 808 an instant grat tomorrow after the 'premier'.

Yeah that's what I think too, but it's clear we are getting a massive snub, nobody is planning to clearify this for us :D

*I'm going to sound pedantic* but it was in 2011! :D

I don't think it was the reason it got to #1, just a contribution. I mean, they sold 34,200 to get to #1, a good chunk of that will have been from ordinary sales, considering its sales by the Wednesday midweek were just less than 12.9k. They did a lot of TV promo in that week.

Anyway I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the tour version sales for the success of Finest Selection tbh.

will the tour edition be dispatched this week too? or will it be nearer the tour?

I never thought of that :o I was hoping they'd send the tickets for the tour to arrive with the album etc!

i kind of remember reading something that said along the lines of "the album will be dispatched for the August 11th release" or something but not sure :/

Hopefully! I remember the NGU single coming a few days early, hoping it's the same case for What Are You Waiting For :kink:

Neon Jungle landed at #8 with sales lower than Living For The Weekend's opening. - 7,785k this week. Ed only decreased a tiny bit this week though, he's still selling over 31k. I think he's likely to still be competition, as he'll likely be selling between 25 - 30k on The Saturdays' release week. Dolly managed to get to number 2 with 15k.

Of Course the Sats have chosen a week with quite a lot of new releases though, so who knows.

I'd love The Sats to knock him off the top

Rochelle sounds amazing on 808

I think the tour edition is the standard edition tracklist, and comes with a DVD of all the videos
