Can you imagine if they somehow did became the female version of Take That (on a much lesser scale obviously )? Rochelle and Mollie could be the Gary and Robbie with the "big" solo careers (meaning two top 40 singles each) and then every two or three years the girls re-unite for albums and tours?

*drools*

On a much lesser scale, maybe yes.

I don't know yet if Mollie and Rochelle would be the actual two popular members, but Mollie has hit the studios alone a few times and have been writing on her own for a few times as well. Both could be for other artists, though. I know Una has also written and recorded stuff on her own, but again, it could be for demos. That being said, she was the first to be rumoured to go solo in early 2014 and I do remember an article where she said she intends on puting a solo album out, but she also said in the same interview that it wasn't about to happen just yet and that for now her concern was on The Saturdays.

I don't believe Frankie has any plans at all for music for at least a moment. She's still quite young, so it's not a problem if she takes some time off. Mollie and Una, on the other hand, are getting older and they probably know it would be easier (and a lot more credible for them) to do it soon, especially if they were to go on commercial pop route, singing raunchy lyrics and stuff.

Vanessa could get a deal in like two seconds because of her voice and looks, but somehow, I can definitely see her going in the sort of "indie" route and just taking 5 years to release something. :o

Rochelle is such a mystery. She's got the bigger profile at the moment (although, with Frankie on Strictly every week, that's debatable), but I somehow believes that after all these years singing, she really enjoys going back to presenting. I could definitely imagine her sitting on the possible occasion of a record deal because of TV contracts and somehow just miss her chance at solo success...

I think Rochelle's goal is actually to work with Marvin. I think if Rochelle was offered a little daytime chatshow on ITV4 with Marvin, she'd take that over a solo deal with guaranteed huge marketing budget.
Rochelle is just everywhere at the moment. She was on daily brunch this morning for STSS and I just saw her in an advert for Ikea

Thats very old Neil, the heffer performed it on Miss World aswell, but no one likes her so it didnt make an impact anywhere.

There is a few othersongs that sample Situation aswell.

Yeah I only just saw it, no clue who she is though.

She is (was) a famous american reality TV star, actually she was on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK not so long ago with her husband... She was just trying to get into the music industry, her debut album sold only 1,000 copies and Body Language was scrapped from the album... No idea why though, the other songs don't have much going for them.

I was just thinking the best video idea for Gentleman would have been to have them in a dark room with a white glowing platform which is turning in the middle whilst the girls are facing outwards doing choreography with guys watching them, then when they get to the name dropping bit, the girls dancing and acting all seductive to the guys on the platform... would have been super naughty and so fetch.

Haha, that's actually not bad at all. Imagine Una all sexy and super naughty over those guys, get it Una!

I have my own imaginary video for Lease My Love. They don't have the budget for it but here goes:

I imagine 5 great transparent glass boxes, a girl in each box. And I actually image a sexy fierce dance during the first part of the video, but they'll be good with just posing. The boxes are placed on a beach and it's night. Between each box there's a big ass old tv, each tv flickers and show all the girls on turns in black in white and Darkchild at the beginning. Then with Rochelle's "BREAK AWAY FROM MEEEEE!" the glass boxes break, with a slow motion moment when all pieces are shattered. After the 'break free' they move their way to the sea side and they keep singing with a breeze through their hair, all the girls also mime's Rochelle's chorus to make it fair.

The middle-8 is them stepping in the water and pulling each other further into the sea as they laugh with joy. Rochessa's middle-school rap (Someone called it that way, super funny) on the end of the chorus is partly shown on these tv's mentioned earlier. After the Vanessa's "My love will never be for lease" bit they lay still in the water until the screen move further and further away from them.

I know I'm lunatic. I took advantage of Juliano's post, I'd never post otherwise.

If Leave A Light On was released as a single I always imagined a black and white video of the girls with a "storyline" focusing on soldiers returning home/couples and families re-uniting at airports/emotional scenes.

Love that idea Shadow :o

I do this all the time

I imagined a summer video for 'Faster' with the girls in Central Park or somewhere In America, Vanessa would be having a picnic on the grass with some random guy  Rochelle to be rollerblading for the laugh

'Wildfire' would have an insane video, I imagine the girls to be dancing on podiums in a sea of fire with black leather dresses on :o

'Lose Control' could be a St Trinians montage with the girls playing practical jokes on people

This sounds so cruel and I feel bad for saying it, but if anything ever happened to one of the girls (like poor Simone from GRL :( ) They could release Last Call as a kind of tribute video? 'I would wait for you' 'you're still my last call' and just make it a stunning video...

OMG totto that would be the best thing ever :w00t:

haha thanks, LEase My Love is already their best song ever ti be honest :kink:

The girls can definitely pull those sad moments off.

Me too, literally with every song.

I love the Wildfire idea! Their second All Fired Up, but more fierce.

Why are the concepts above better than their actual videos? I wish they would get more creative.

This just sums them up.

Also, I love how deluded the flip is for them to think they're continuing, how hilarious

Pretty much  But having decent concepts in their videos really shouldn't cost that much. Obviously things like special effects would be impossible for them to afford but they could certainly do more than just dance around at the beach or stand around on a spinning table...

I must be one of the few who think they'll continue. They've really given us no reason to believe they're disbanding. Lackluster sales doesn't necessarily mean they're finished.

I do believe we'll get something solo before we actually get a group effort, though.

The vibe I'm getting from the Saturdays is much like the one GA gave as they embarked on their 3 year break.

Without the recent number #1 single, #1 album that went 2x platinum, Brit Award and the sell out tour that included like arena dates in London though, of course.

(They were so bloody stupid to go on a break when they did, but I digress.)

I don't see much of a future for them as a group now because of the radios (sorry, but radio 1 will never get back on board and very unlikely for Capital) but a break will be even worse because they haven't had enough recent success for people to care or remember if they came back. So I don't really know what they can do. I'd love some new big pop songs from them though, even if they only managed sales from this forum.
