Yeah, Bastille really don't need to release another single off the album but we've had that discussion on here many times already. I guess if it helps shift a few more copies of the album then it does its job, I really want a new single from them though!

Surprised there's no Kooks or George Ezra this week, and I'm also surprised they've dropped 'Rude' after only 7 weeks, I thought that would be one of the long runners of the year.

You might get your wish the new single from Bastille is premiering on Huw Stevens show later tonight as per their twitter feed. Great to see another Coldplay single on there - so when is the official impact date for this?

YES for Iggy and Katy. Was kind of unsure if they would actually support Katy tbh.

OK I'm confused now, why on earth would they be releasing Oblivion and premiering a new single at the same time?!

They just premiered a buzz single / B-side to 'Oblivion', it's not going for adds right now.

I can't see why they wouldn't?? Everything else off the album was A-listed and two of the songs have been giant hits for her.

Y NOT the new single (Bad_News) of Bastille? And this one? Glad for Coldplay!

Think this has already been clarified? It signals the start of a new era for Bastille, but it also serves as the B-side to Oblivion :)

Oh that makes sense - weird that they made such a big deal out of a B-Side premiere

I dont think they have it was premiered on Huw Stevens show at 1am in the morning. A brand new single would have been Zane lowes hottest record or even premiered on Nick Grimshaws. Thats why it was confuding me so much lol it makes sense its a b-side now!

Just because of how poorly Birthday did and that this is a 5th single.

Didn't Radio 1 have Amelia Lily in the studio last week? .. I think it's sad that they have her as a guest yet won't playlist California!.... She shouldn't bother...

So many artists go into their studios as guests and they don't playlist them though, she's far from the first.

Commercial radio stations will be playing Rude forever and ever (or at least very regularly for the next 12 months), I guess they just decided to save their listeners from that (or in simpler terms: it doesn't need airplay from them anymore)

(personal note: thank fuck, now hopefully if they stop playing We Own It every other day I'm listening it'll go back to being a largely pleasant experience again)

Rude will get plenty of spins whether it's on the playlist or not!

Why shouldn't she bother? It's all promo for her. That aside, I've actually heard Radio 1 play California at least 3 times in the past few weeks, despite it not being playlisted, so the DJs obviously like it (Scott Mills especially).

I know djs play non playlisted songs too - Greg James played Klangkarussells new track this week on his show!
