This is irresistible. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's a solid pop song. Jessie J, this is how you do a haters song.

I've only listened to this a handful of times but I'm already growing tired of it, having liked it initially. The chorus really grate-grate-grate-grate-grates (:funky:). Good move by the label not to hold it back for weeks as I could see it having a fairly bad chart run if that were the case.

A contestant is singing this on Sunday on X-Factor Australia for top 10s week, no flies on them :lol: hopefully they have Taylor on there soon so we can have another live performance *.*

According to ukairplaychart.com, 'Shake It Off' is #1 on UK Radio Airplay after climbing a massive 10 places last week! I don't know if Taylor has had an airplay #1 before (I guess 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and 'Love Story' would have both been in contention) but it just shows how successful this has been. And with this being added to Spotify now (and going top 15 in 3 days), there's a chance the song could re-peak in the top 3 several weeks into its chart run - I wonder how long it can stay in the top 10!

Official Charts tweeted that this accumulated 1.3 million streams in the UK over the last week, that's incredible! :o Wasn't 'Rather Be' getting around 1.2 million streams at its peak - and Taylor has managed that on her first week!

I like the points she makes in the song about the gossip surrounding her. It's reaffirms that she is aware of how the media portrays her. The song is good for it's lyrical content and the music itself is ok without the middle-part rap, which is a bit strange :D

I've just heard this song for the first time and I have to say Taylor is one of the most overrated pop acts I've ever seen. The only songs by her I can listen to are You Belong With Me and I Knew You Were Trouble. Besides that, I think she's very annoying.
