I will not believe it if Annaconda goes to #1, it will definitely be in the top 10 judging by the pre orders at the moment.

Well, I don't think either station played Pills N Potions (which is a lot more mainstream-sounding imo). And also, there's been a lot of competition for the Radio 1 playlist in the past few months.

Oh I thought you were talking about 'All About That Bass' :kink: Yeah 'Anaconda' might possibly not get airplay.

Pills and Potions was A listed on 1Xtra, maybe radio 1 are waiting for the first official pre album single?
Shake It Out is my fave Florence & The Machine song and I've lived with it for so long, plus Shake It Out sounds better than Shake It Off  that's my excuse. 50+ plays just isn't enough clearly!
Why is the fake version of Prayer in C doing better than the real one?

Because the real one isn't out yet.

Because the real one isn't out yet.

So people would rather waste their money than wait one extra week?

The fake version is actually a lot better than you'd think!

But to answer your question, yes.

So people would rather waste their money than wait one extra week?

Or people aren't aware that it isn't the real one? They'll type the title, see that one is available now and buy it, quite a simple mistake, not everyone follows music and the charts as closely as we do.

I don't think it really matters how many days it's been on for pre-order. It's more of a concern that there are only 3 weeks till release and this hasn't gone anywhere. The mistake was that they've released the pre-order way too late Imo.

Very much agreed with this. It all feels terribly rushed, it should have been up three weeks ago rather than 10 days. There's no time for airplay to catch up, Radio 1 will need to put it right on the B-list next week for A-list play to kick in before release.

There's probably a bit more effort around selling the album. Leave enough time for a second single but still release the album in time to capitalise on the success of 'Ghost', It (hopefully) shouldn't matter if 'Glow' doesn't do too well as they'll get her to perform a ballad on The X Factor which will shoot that single up the charts and they'll be hoping it will be her 'Beneath Your Beautiful'/'Someone Like You'.

That's my guess anyway.

What was the last fake to go as high as the top 20 Joseph?

I can't even begin to explain this :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

1. That terrible Guetta song that rips off anything that is popular :puke2: :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

2. An amazing Taylor Swift song

Why does the UK have such bad music taste :(

Admittedly I haven't been overly keen on David Guetta's recent output (I found 'Shot You Down' to be a huge step down and not needed after the Audio Bully's far superior version, whilst 'Bad' was a big improvement), but it's getting tiring having to read all the comments accusing him of "ripping off" Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' and the general country/dance sound of late.

I'm not disputing that he has, he most probably is cashing in on it, but isn't that what most artists do? It's happened before and it will keep on happening. I didn't read any comments on Cheryl Cole's 'Crazy, Stupid Love' ripping off the few dance/saxo/trumpet songs of the year.

It seems a minority are jumping on the bandwagon purely because of the artist and the genre ("Faceless dance") they belong to, not to mention it (rightfully) stopping Taylor Swift's new outing.

And as far as taking elements from other artist's go, I could hardly imagine Taylor Swift releasing material like 'Shake It Off' when she first started out. You could be forgiven for mistaking it for another cringe-worthy Katy Perry number. :puke2:

Not entirely sure - not many get that high! The fake for Stay the Night must be the last to go so high though, fairly sure it charted top 30?

You evidently weren't looking hard enough. I saw loads of people mention how Cheryl was jumping on the bandwagon. Either way, doesn't mean we can't post about Guetta jumping on the Avicii bandwagon, cause he has. It's a decent song to be fair but so generic and unoriginal, so it feels very lazy in general. Who's to say it's "rightfully" stopping Taylor anyway  It's called progression, each album she's released has been less and less country-based anyway. Of course she wouldn't have been making that music when she started out. Guetta also wouldn't have been releasing this kinda thing when he started out. Artists progress, that's how it works.

Don't know if this has been answered but the highest fake I remember was the Payphone fake that peaked around the top 15 on the singles chart, don't know what's iTunes peak was though!

I'm not jumping on a bandwagon... I simply don't like this dance trend, lots of the tracks are blurring into one and I'm bored of so many of them doing so well despite the fact to my ears the quality really isn't there. You seemingly feel the same about Taylor Swift etc. as I do about dance really so I don't see what's so difficult to understand :/ opinions do differ you know.
