August 21, 201411 yr Yes, I would say Union J still have top 10 pretty much in the bag especially with the upcoming signings. Their second week drop will be another story but it always is with them / boybands in general.

August 22, 201411 yr I think Taylor Swift has peaked as Nico & Vinz and MAGIC! have been selling practically the same all the week and Taylor's track is not available to stream. Sorry can't answer any requests, but keep them coming, other chart mods will be around later.
August 22, 201411 yr YAY AT TAYLOR NOW 4TH  :cheer: However if she's finishes behind two of the worst s gs this year, I will have the biggest breakdown in the chart show thread (here's your early warning :))
August 22, 201411 yr I would be grateful if someone could let me know where The Sats are with Finest Selection. :)

August 22, 201411 yr YAY AT TAYLOR NOW 4TH  :cheer: However if she's finishes behind two of the worst s gs this year, I will have the biggest breakdown in the chart show thread (here's your early warning :)) Yup well if she does it's because the single isn't streaming, nor is it on amazon
August 22, 201411 yr I knew No Mediocre was going to miss top 40. I don't think a held-back song that fails to get top 20 on iTunes stands a chance anymore. Hopefully Chris Malinchak can make it though.
August 22, 201411 yr Given it's now done to #71 on iTunes and streaming will hamper it over the weekend as well, I can't see how Chris Malinchak would survive sadly. HUGE shame. :( What a great track.
August 22, 201411 yr Yeah it is a shame, it sounds like the sort of song which would have done quite well with radio support.
August 22, 201411 yr Could someone explain why Imogen Heap isn't selling like mad considering Ellie Goulding can/has?
August 22, 201411 yr Could someone explain why Imogen Heap isn't selling like mad considering Ellie Goulding can/has? Personal taste and promotional budget
August 22, 201411 yr Could someone explain why Imogen Heap isn't selling like mad considering Ellie Goulding can/has? Ellie has mainstream appeal, and is a lot more attractive... ;)
August 22, 201411 yr Could someone explain why Imogen Heap isn't selling like mad considering Ellie Goulding can/has? Things like that are to do with promotion but also luck. It is the same with so many artists. I'm digressing, but to me 'Budapest' is a great song, and warrants success, but I feel as though there are many, many songs with a similar vibe to it (often better) that have had the same radio support, and for some reason just didn't do that well. I find Budapest's success quite random, actually. Edited August 22, 201411 yr by Joe.
August 22, 201411 yr Ellie has mainstream appeal, and is a lot more attractive... ;) Is an artist's appearance the main decider when you purchase their music?
August 22, 201411 yr Ellie has mainstream appeal, and is a lot more attractive... ;) Surely they operate in similar sub-genres? I guess they're not the same age and Imogen hasn't had the benefit of the same industry support than Ellie had a few years ago when she started out. I shouldn't ask such obviously naive questions. The music industry doesn't make sense sometimes.
