Is it safe to say that this will be a UK #1 in the new year, doing exceptionally well on pre-orders and streaming :o

Kind of surprising that she may actually pull off a 'Hot N Cold' with this. I don't recall ever seeing a more obvious one-hit-wonder since Katy Perry.

I couldn't agree more about the number one. Release is in February and it's already doing as well on pre orders as some artists do 3/2 weeks before release.

Yeah I was convinced she'd be more of a Carly Rae Jepsen than a Katy Perry :o It really helps that they've put it on Spotify already too, so she'll have had ages to build streams up by the time she is released.

She's got a brilliant team behind her though. Much in the same vein as when Perry started out, you can see her team really want to capitalize. The fact they put a lot of money into 'Title' as a 2nd single and its EP and then swiped both under the carpet quickly in favour of this - shows that they want Meghan to be a star and a hitmaker. Let's not forget she's probably LA Reid #1 priority right now, and Reid was a big factor behind Rihanna's breakthrough

It's a shame as Carly Rae Jepsen is WAY better than this Meghan chick.

I am literally OBSESSED with this ~ never thought she'd follow up something as good as AATB with another great track but I have been proved wrong.

I know a lot of people are dismissing this as AATB part 2 but to me it really isn't! Yes it's a 50s/60s doo-wop influence again and uses the term "bass" here and there but IT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!1

It's a lot more varied with its hooks and vocally she sounds almost like a burlesque xtina in parts where AATB she was vocally quite flat. It doesn't drag towards the end like AATB did either imo

I can see her label pushing it a back a week just so it can go #1, they are very desperate to eliminate this one hit wonder tag she has at the moment

And at the rate 'Uptown Funk' is rising at the moment, it will most likely be brought forward surely

I have a feeling she'll duet with Fleur on All About That Bass... A lot of the time though the duet partners do sing on their own to promote stuff too so I think she'll do that as well as Lips Are Movin'.

It's a shame the release date is so far away, but if she does do Lips Are Movin it'll no doubt get a massive boost on pre-orders and on Spotify. People really are underestimating her profile, like I keep saying her team really know what they're doing, I mean an X Factor Final performance and she only has 1 hit to her name and she's as American as you can get - really speaks for itself
