Posted August 27, 201410 yr Following Miley's VMA decision to allow a homeless person to do a speech following her victory for best female video, what are your opinions on Miley Cyrus? Do you expect a change in her behavior in her next album campaign? The main question that I've always wondered if had Miley not changed her hair would Bangerz have been as successful? I refuse to believe that 'We Can't Stop' would have been a smash had Miley still had the long hair Disney look.
August 27, 201410 yr The main question that I've always wondered if had Miley not changed her hair would Bangerz have been as successful? I refuse to believe that 'We Can't Stop' would have been a smash had Miley still had the long hair Disney look. I think that's a good point. I don't think people really bought her image (or at least, weren't captivated by it) up until now. The cute little Disney girl releasing songs like 'We Can't Stop', '4x4' and 'Adore You'... it wouldn't really work, would it? Her image was key in this campaign, I reckon (particularly with 'Wrecking Ball' - I don't think I'd have believed the video if she looked any other way :kink:). I'm hoping she sticks with the same image for the next album, and has the same belief that controversy gets you everywhere. Do not know what to expect in terms of music, but hopefully we get more in the vein of 'We Can't Stop', 'Wrecking Ball', 'FU' and 'Maybe You're Right'.
August 28, 201410 yr I love her because she just gives 0 f***s  Even with the shitstorm caused by her VMAS performance and Bangerz era videos, she wasn't phased and just carried on as she was, plus she knows that controversy will get her noticed and ultimately that's a huge part of her selling so many records, I think the next era will be different again but I'm really not sure that to expect!
August 31, 201410 yr I'm quite cynical with some artists and shes one, I think it was a bit of a stunt.
September 14, 201410 yr First post of the month for the poor, brave Miley forum. Don't ever say I don't donate to charity, ladies.
