I don't understand the 'Ugly' hate :o

 

I think it's the cheesy lyrics in the combination of being a cheap attempt at a TLC Unpretty rip-off.

That and the backing track sounding like Band Aid 20. I appreciate what it's trying to do but the whole thing just comes off a bit trite to me.

 

Sugababes really were such a hit and miss band for me, but when they did get it right it was ace.

Ugly surely isn't worse than Flatline.

 

Plus it's one of the few videos where Mutya looks classy.

Your signature makes me laugh, most random game contest EVER. I hate the word queef also, it's up there with girth.

BuzzJack taste surprises me sometimes! On other sites I've visited over the years, 'Ugly' hate is generally the norm and I've seen so many people consider it to be one of their very worst. Personally I don't mind it at all, but it has no place in the eventual Top 10 imo. Then again it has 5 votes currently so I guess it'll be gone quite soon!

 

Follow Me Home needs to go soon. The Amelle version + video is one of the lowest points of their career.

I really loved 'Follow Me Home' as an album track on Taller, it's such a beautiful song. It's one of those where releasing it as a single tarnished it a bit, but I was so glad they didn't go with 'Gotta Be You'.

The obvious choice would be Now You're Gone. It was the only brand new track on the re-issue and it's a fantastic song.

I'd have said it should've been 'Ace Reject' or nothing, but they probably should've just left it at that after 'Red Dress'.

A big song like Gotta Be You & Now You're Gone would probably help shift more.

I hate that they didn't release 'Gotta Be You'! And not as a fourth single but preferably as the second single 'cause 'Ugly' is a big stain in the almost flawless 2.0 singles chronology.

Yes the cheesy lyrics and especially the flat chorus. It's just extremely dull and blah. And I'm a fan of TLC but 'Unpretty' is to them what 'Ugly' is to the Sugababes, a big, cheesy mess. We're talking about two edgy girlbands (TLC even more than the 'Babes) releasing shitty songs that should've been recorded by Atomic Kitten.

It appears that in addition to operation #savesong4mutya we now have operation #saveugly

 

when will you people acquire GOOD MUSIC TASTE
