Well, according to a source, the song had sold 813k until December 15th, and it was posted here that it sold 869k until January 8th, so that gives an average of 14k sold per week during those 4 weeks.

The first date is a couple of weeks out (it sold 813k as of the week ending 3rd December) but the second date is correct.

So, between December 3rd to January 8th, we have 5 weeks, so the average would be ~11.2k sold per week (869k - 813k = 56k), not 9-10k as you said.

January 8th falls on the week ending 14th January, so it's six weeks.

Oh, I see, I was fooled into thinking that sales were until exactly the 8th.
