September 14, 201410 yr It's safe to say that for ever high, there's at least 3 lows in the D-Mo songbook. Disremembrance to win (though with the scores it got, top 3 will be a win)

The song was remixed from it's original form for it's release and peaked at #42 in Australia. Since then the song has became a firm fave and staple at later gay pride events. The original version of this song later became available on her "The 1995 Sessions" album that was released in December 2009.
September 14, 201410 yr I always forget about 'Everlasting Night'. Safe to say it was highly typical of the sort of pop music you got in 1998/1999.

The song was first released in Australia in February 1990 where it became her most successful hit ever by reaching #4. The was released in the UK a year later in March 1991 where it entered the charts at #31, then steadily climbed and reached #8 four weeks later, becoming her first top 10 hit, despite being called a piece of fluff.

But Dannii gave the song a new dancey style spin and included it on her 3rd album "Girl" in 1997. Dannii originally recorded it in 1994 with UK dance producers DNA for her original third album that got cancelled after she parted ways with Mushroom Records. In 1996 after she signed to Eternal Records, she had the track remixed again by Flexifinger and used it as a hidden bonus track. She released it in Australia as the 4th and final single in December 1998, but wasn't given a proper music video, just montage clips from the album's other singles and it failed to make a dent on the Australian charts, and therefore wasn't released anywhere else.
September 15, 201410 yr 'Coconut' is brilliant silly fun, it works so brilliantly on house party playlists.

Released in October 2005 as the 2nd single from both albums, and originally it began as an instrumental by the dance group Soul Seekerz who also feature on this and their song "Turn The Beat Around" which again was also originally sung by disco singer Vicki Sue Robinson. Dannii, Rob Davis and Therese Grankvist then wrote lyrics to accompany the music composed by the Soul Seekerz. The song peaked at #11 in the UK ending her small streak of top 10 hits, but becoming her 14th top 20 hit. In Australia it was also successful peaking at #13 performing better than her 3 previous hits. In other countries it charted best in Finland by peaking at #7, and hit top 20 in the Netherlands becoming her biggest hit over there. In Ireland it became her 11th top 40 hit by peaking at #38.

She continued her venture into the dance scene after the surprise success of her comeback single "WDYLN" which was released the previous year. The song itself is about sex and was one of the first songs she recorded for the album sessions, and it's a thank you to DJ's for accepting her into the dance scene. When released it became another success for Dannii in the UK by peaking at #7 and spent 11 weeks on the charts. In Australia it became her joint 2nd biggest hit by hitting #11. In other countries it was quite successful by making top 20 in Ireland and top 30 positions in Netherlands and Germany.

In Australia it became another flop single by peaking at #44.

The song was written by producer Jason Nevins and Lisa Molina, and samples the disco song "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" by Sylvester. Dannii was offered to provide vocals by Jason's agent Matt Waterhouse whose also a close friend of Dannii's, and also the music was sent to her by E-Mail. But despite rave reviews the single limped into the UK charts at #48, her first to miss the top 40 since 1992 with "Love's On Every Corner", due to minimal promo because of her duties as a judge on X-Factor and with no live performance to promote it, it didn't stand a chance, which was a shame as it's one of her finer singles. But again faring better on the dance charts by becoming her 13th #1 in a row.

This scored mainly high rates and only the 3rd song so far to gain a 11, but it was the 2 low rates that brought it's average right down. Released in June 2006 and used as the lead single from her "Hits & Beyond" album, then as the 3rd single from her 5th studio album "Club Disco" and critically praised, infact one of her most praised singles ever, but unfortunately that doesn't always guarantee chart success as it peaked at #20 on the UK charts, becoming her 14th and final top 20 hit. Then tumbled to #60 in it's 2nd week, then out completely in it's 3rd week. In Australia it was released a month later in July and fared a bit better by reaching #16, making this her 9th top 20 entry over there.

The song was first issued in it's original form, but then bootlegs of this being mashed up with Madonna's "Into The Groove" breathed new life into the song and when Dannii sent the song to Madonna, she approved and in fact she loved it, and quickly overshadowed it's original version and became another success by hitting #5 on the UK charts , making this the only time she had all singles from one album to reach top 10, and spent 9 weeks on the charts. The song was originally performed by German dance producer Jean Claude Ades, and when she first heard it, she loved it and even asked Ades to transform the song from club to pop, and received rave reviews from critics and as well as becoming a smash hit in the UK, it became a success worldwide by hitting top 10 in France and hit top 20 peaks in Australia, Belgium and Sweden. It was even given a release in the USA, but didn't crack the US Top 100, but performed well on the US Hot Dance charts by reaching #14, becoming one of her very few to reach that chart.

September 21, 201410 yr GOD DAMNIT REGINA, THAT IS YOUR FAULT! What is it you hate about 'I Begin To Wonder' so much? It was definitely the song which made me sit up and take notice of her, electrifying and masterful. 'So Under Pressure' is my second favourite, 'Everything I Wanted' is majorly underrated and beautiful and the 'Groove' version of the other one is the only one I listen to now. Perfect combo.
