"Ricky you're a charmer" Esmée knows 😂

Great choice. I can see her make it far http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif

(She has a boyfriend tho :()

So so happy for Esmée, I couldn't believe it when they all turned around in the last few seconds! She really deserves this. :D
People on Facebook don't seem to like Esmée because of her attitude...

Facebook commentators on these reality shows never like anybody

Exactly, I think it is just her humour. My cousins are from Holland and have the same humour as her

Yeah the Dutch humour can come across as arrogant, in your face and weird.

I notice it in Belgium as well

The lead singer of Black Lace is on this weekend too, iconic

He came across as a nice guy. He wasn't the original lead singer.

That was Alan Barton (also sang with Smokie) who passed away in 1997.

Alan Barton and Colin Routh were the two who performed on the hit singles when they were in the charts.

Dene Michael took over in 1986.

what is esmee doing on the british version of this? tbh she's had her chance, people didn't take to her and going on the voice uk isn't the way to reinvigorate your career...

Don't really follow the show but just watched Esmée's bit out of interest.

I would have originally thought this but I actually think it makes quite a lot of sense from her perspective and could work. She's working in a frozen yoghurt shop and is (supposedly) back at square one. She's had moderate success in the UK so it could be an effective platform for her with casual fans of hers likely to immediately get behind her, helped also by the sympathy aspect of her story. If she does prove popular on the show, still has contacts and releases something quickly, there's a chance it could catch on.

Unfortunately for her though it seems her personality and interpretation of Ricky's comments rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way and now she's being deemed arrogant, affected by fame etc. I don't get it at all - she's a confident person and was clearly having a bit of banter with him but it seems on these shows you have to be noticeably humble and unassuming to make a connection with the general public. People are far too quick to judge. :drama:

I just watched her audition and I didn't think she was rude either! I suppose Ricky has some defensive fans.

Quite a good audition & 'Outta Here' was a tune, great to see it back in the iTunes chart!

As far as the British public are concerned, if you're nice and female you're boring, if you're nice and male you're boring, if you're confident and female you're an "arrogant bitch", if you're confident and male you're "so sexxiiii"

Esmee to win - easily the best yet and will take some doing to beat her.

I often would what happened to her. Pity she's got a boyfriend

Here's 3 singles that I already have:

Outta Here - #7 in 2009

Admit It - #56 in 2009

Until You Were Gone - (with Chipmunk) - #3 in 2010

In that case what was Andrea Faustini doing on the UK version of X Factor.

At least Esmee has THE VOICE.
